jchitwood,

All articles that are in the paper are not posted directly onto the webpage. If you look in the top left column, the current edition of the paper is usually available in a PDF format. This is a great service that allows everyone FREE access to the paper. As shlalum said above, Mark Carpenter have really taken the sports coverage to another level. He has a feature articles on the games he can attend. He also will develop a game report as long as the coaches fax him a copy of their scorebook and some comments.

Here is the fron page of last week"s paper with Peebles coverage on the front....http://pages.peoplesdefender.com/Pdf/index/31631/586037

I've clicked on the pdf before, and now I'll do it a lot more often. I'm not sure why they don't put the articles directly on the website, but I'll take what I can get.

Mark Carpenter is an improvement, as well.

fayetteville took d1 western brown to the wire. fayetteville had the ball late down 3 with the ball and had a turnover. western brown opened the door going 2 for 10 at the line down the stretch. i was surprised at the gtown vs eastern brown score as i thought that would be tight and the western brown vs fayetteville would be a blow out.
does eastern brown or fayetteville ever report scores or box scores?

I'm pretty sure they announced the Eastern/Western score at the tournament last night. Eastern won by 20 but can't remember the score. Maybe the Warriors are finally clicking.

What a great HS basketball game last night with an even better atmosphere!!! I am proud to have been able to host the event the last four nights and look forward to when the Classic returns to North Adams.

Tonight Eastern Brown evens their overall and league record to hit .500 for the first time this year. Buechler's Boys just started their season all over, a game and a half out of first.

With Whiteoak upsetting Manchester and Eastern getting a win tonight, the SHL just became wide open again. If Eastern continues to play well I think they will be the team to beat.

The Eastern/Ripley game will be a matchup. As an Indian fan, I'm still hurting though. My Tribe doesn't take losing well, and I can't wait till we play eastern in their house.

Seems like Eastern has their "so called mental game" together. Tough loss for Peebles

And Tribe, you're probably right. These are the best napkin stats I could manage from the far end of the court, sitting next to 6'8" gorilla.
