A good win for the dragons.Marietta has a good team and I don't think either team played its best. Nice to talk to Mr. Pfloyd and I hope the dragons can continue climbing up the list. We still are not valuing the ball like we should or playing tough D like they can. This team is starting to find itself and if our shots start falling watch out. GO GREEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Fairland vs Marietta was close throughout ... 15-15 after quarter #1, 28-28 at intermission ... the 3rd quarter had the Marietta D holding FHS to 1 fg in the quarter w/ the Tigers taking 38-33 lead into the 4th period ... the 4th quarter napkin stats show that Marietta turned the ball over 6 times in the period while Fairland took care of the rock with "no TOs" (17 entering the period) ... the game was tied 48-48 with 1:13 left when a Tiger player was called for a "technical" giving Cole Hatfield 2 FT's and the ball AND the lead going into the last minute of the contest ... the Tigers couldn't overcome the "phantom T" ... Fairland 57 Marietta 53 a final ...

... the Key Napkin Stat was the FHS bench scoring advantage of 15-2 over MHS ... the Tigers worked very hard on defense, pushed the ball on offense BUT the pressure by Fairland took it's toll in forcing MHS into 20 TOs ... the pressure by FHS also took it's toll in having to get a blow for the MHS starters - take the Tiger starters off the court - not much offense (2 pts worth) after the first 5 ...
