Portsmouth has all 5 starters back from last year, with 2 of them not starting thism year,as of right now.
Tory Horne has joined the team, and has been a huge plus with his ball handling, and I think he is averiging 16 points a game in the short season so far, it helps big time having him to help Bendoplh at the point.
the Defense is better, but still needs some improvement .
hope to see everyone tommorow night if I AM ABLE TO make the trip

Portsmouth has improved already from their first tilt against Greenfield McClain........I think the defense is VASTLY better from last year.........spearheaded by Andrew Bendolph, who is the best on-ball defender for the Trojans since Daryl Lisath in 1990........this kid is like super glue on his man.........team wise, PHS is creating turnovers and scoring off those turnovers.........of course they can improve, but for right now their defense is a stark contrast to last season.
Playing at Gallia Academy is almost always a dicey game for Portsmouth. The Trojans have had numerous good teams come into the French City and leave town fortunate to get a win. The Blue Devils' formula won't change tonight......tempo, tempo, tempo.......Portsmouth has to jump on top of them early and force GAHS to come out of their game plan.
Leading scorers for Portsmouth: Anthony Williams 19.0 PPG, Tory Horne 17.0 PPG.
GO TROJANS!!!........MAKE IT 4-0!!!

... anything on this one as yet tonight ??? ... IF this one goes above the 40's Portsmouth gets the W - big ... IF it's played in the 40's range - look out PHS ... anyone have a score ?

Being played at Gallia I would have thought one of those boys would have something to say.

I guess 5 was all they wanted.

The Blue Devils played a good game, were in it until about 2 min. to go.
Go ahead and underestimate these boys.
