nothin t say aboth the point this year.
they have a good back coming out of mddle school in mccarty. he needs to learn how to hold on to the ball.
but hes just a freshman..hes not a bloomfield or fisher either.

I heard he was staying back this next year. Which I totally don't agreee with. But some of the other OVC schools do it I guess the SP parents think it is OK too.
For the rest of the team they lost ALOT of seniors so I don't look for them to be in the hunt for the titile. they won't be at the bottom but will be in the middle of the pack for the OVC.

South Point will have the same schedule as last year except the locations will be swapped.

SP will have a couple of players coming back. Greg Taylor,Doug Dillon,Austin Ross. Taylor at 6'3" 265lb. is drawing Div.1 looks at TE. Dickess should be ready at QB after missing last year with a back injury. The OL will need to be rebuilt along with the Defense. Looking for a 5&5 season. 2nd in the OVC behind Coal Grove. Hopefully Coach Shilot and the young Pointers will suprise alot of people.

I think in 2010 SP is looking for two open dates to be filled

RJ Mccarty will play jv
dont look for him to play varsity.

hes drawing many divison 1 offers from many schools

mccarty wont see any varsity time this year.. A few of the Seniors and some juniors for next years team is stepping up... Greg taylor getting D1 schools looking and a few others getting D2 and D3 schools looking at them.. a few of the seniors are getting much bigger for the upcoming season. i say south point will suprise a few people in the 09 season.

top three players for SP- Taylor 6'3 265, Dillon 5'10 185, Ross 5'10 210

South Point lost a lot of seniors. So, this will probably be a rebuilding season for the team but don't count them out. There is talent on the team they just need to get some more experience. As far as R. J. McCarty goes, it is my understanding he is staying back so unfortunately South Point won't have him for JV or Varsity during the upcoming season.
