Gallia Academy's offense has been hit or miss most of the season. We have the ability to run the ball between the tackles, but the coaching staff just doesn't seem to wholeheartedly commit to it. The D has been stout all year. I don't think Jackson has faced a defense as good as ours, but I don't think we've faced a team that is as balanced and has as many weapons as Jackson offensively. I think the Blue Devils would have to play their best game of the year to come out with a win.

This should be a pretty good game but with it being in Jackson I'll give the Ironmen the edge. I'd love to see this one but for obvious reasons I think I'll stay in The Plains.

St Charles has proven all year to be a good defense against very good teams....put up 42 on them

Our offense is silly right now. Outstanding QB with 1st team all-state stuff. Two other hard nosed running backs at 6 yards per carry, a receiver with around 13 TD, a TE making a mark and a kicker who is 54/54 on the season.

I will go out on a limb and say that Jackson wins this one big and GAHS misses the playoffs.

This could be the best game either team has played this year. Looking for a huge turnout at Alumni Stadium. Go Red!!!!!

Good news: Gallia is unbeaten on the road this season (4-0).
Bad news: Gallia isn't playing one of those four losing teams this week.

Good news: Gallia has enjoyed some good wins at Jackson.
Bad news: Hmmm. No downside to scoring an upset on your archrival's home field.

Good news: Gallia's defense has been Grinch-like this season, giving up an average of just 9.9 points per game and only 89 total points.
Bad news: Jackson's offense has been Santa-like this season, dishing out an average of 44.6 points per game and racking up a total of 401 points.
Observation: Santa vs. the Grinch. Really?

There will be many all league players on the field for this game. If you don't have anything better to do come out and watch them. Don't know of much that would be better.

Very similar situation to last season.

As Ironman92 said, Gallia Academy can stake claim to a Co-Championship with a win, while a victory for Jackson earns them an outright championship. Jackson appears to be in the playoffs (not official yet), and Gallia Academy's post-season hopes hinge on a Week 10 win.

In my opinion, it just doesn't get any better than this. SEOAL Championship on the line, playoff berths on the line, a potentially historic undefeated season hanging in the balance...oh, and one of the most heated rivalries in SE Ohio between two of the SEOAL's founders.

I hope to see Alumni Stadium absolutely packed next Friday night. It'll be Senior Night, and almost certainly the final time that those seniors will play in front of the home crowd at Alumni Stadium. The atmosphere will be electric!

Hey 02... We all wanted this match up in week 10 and here it is.... Playoff berths & league championship all on the line.... I heard Jackson is printing up some "Streak" shirts for after the game, any truth to that???....LOL... Jackson has to be the favorite in this match up, but favorites do not always win. Gallia has to find a way to put the ball in the end zone. Need to eliminate the turn overs & penalties to have a chance in this one.... We also need to improve on making in game adjustments... If we fail to make adjustments as the game plays out it will be a repeat of last year... I heard Gallia has petitioned OHSAA and trying to get another year of eligibility for DJ & JH and a few others for this game ....LOL..
