Jackson again lead by Dylan Newsome with 19 points. Dobbins fills in with 10 points and the rest contributed as needed and then some.
Christman had a good bit of rebounds, A Brown had a good 2nd quarter scoring 6 points I believe with good penetration from the outside shooter, J Brown drilled a 3 very early to get us going, Miller played well with some key rebounds and a few points, K Newsome was in a good portion of the game playing some good defense.
The supporting cast that stood out I thought was Kip Winchester who handled pressure well in the 4th qtr, had a couple steals and was very much in the flow with the 4th qtr group Jordan had out there.
And speaking of flow.....Eric Landrum again gets in the game and good things just happen. He played great defense late, took a charge as soon as he entered later in the game and Jackson seemed to get layup after layup when he was in there. I am very interested in the point difference of that game when he was on the court vs when he wasn't on the court.
Great win Jackson......SWEEP!...and the first time I've heard our student section in years.
Great game by Colt Chapman in the JV game at one point he had 14 points to Wellston's 17.

Congrats to Jackson on their first win! A win over Wellston is always sweet, but this one has to feel even better for the Ironmen. Hopefully they have gained some confidence and they'll build off of this.

Congrats to the Jackson players, coaches, parents and fans. Kudo's to Coach Jordan for keeping these kids working hard. I posted on another thread that I saw a different team this year then last. Losses might be the same in number but not the type. Good for the program. I want to see Jackson back on their feet and Coach Jordan is one that can get it done.

Sounds like a tight game between two big rivals Jackson and little brother Wellston.
