D3 Southeast District

Still so confused on how you can have 2 sectionals and have 3 district champs.

The OHSAA site listed only 2 southeast teams advancing to the regional, with 1 Central and 1 New Philadelphia team going, while the Central District site listed no teams from the CD going to Athens, instead going to Dayton and Bowling Green........something is amiss here.........I don't know which is right..............

I have been trying to tell everyone the ohsaa.org southeast bracket is from last year.Go to the central page and it has the central not going to the convo.

Seeding: All seeding/voting will take place prior to the draw meeting and will be conducted On-Line using the Central District Athletic Board web site, www.cdab.org. Each head coach will receive complete instructions in their tournament packet.

Drawing: Schools will draw into one of two district brackets on Sunday, February 8, 2009 at Olentangy Liberty High School, 3584 Home Road, Powell at 2:00 p.m. Entry forms and eligibility sheets must be presented to Ralph Young, Tournament Manager, at the drawing meeting.

District Qualifiers: Eight teams to the District Tournament at Columbus Fairgrounds Coliseum..

Division III District Tournament: March 3, 2, and 12, 2009.

Regional Qualifiers: Two teams to the Regional Tournament. Columbus 1 to the Dayton Regional Tournament and Columbus 2 to the Bowling Green Regional Tournament.

That is the central district.There will be 3 southeast teams at regionals how do they decide what 3????

IF 3 teams from se advance to regional there will be 3 sectionals with 12 teams advancing to 3 district brackets.

it could be that 2 teams from both the east and se advance to ou regional. i thinnk this has happened before.

There is no 2009 southeast district posted.It only gives 2009.That was from ohsaa central district.I repeat there is NO CENTRAL TEAM COMING TO THE CONVO THIS SEASON.There will be 3 southeast district teams.

EasternDspy: I am not saying you are wrong, but I thought for sure the OHSAA listed the 2009 brackets, as Jimmy the Greek has stated. If indeed the Central is not sending a team to Athens, then it would figure that 3 teams from the SE District will be in the regional...........

I found OHSAA regulations for 2009 but it still does not make since.It says that winner from the East is coming for New Philly district.They are not even having a district at New Philly.

Southeastern used to be D3 until 4 or 5 years ago. then they moved to D4, and this year or maybe last year they moved back to D3.

Like I said I do not trust the OHSAA document because is claims the east is being played in New Philly.Its not being played at New Philly its being played in Coshocton.
