Probably homer refs!! Oh wait a minute, I think the SOC has an assigner for all games. Schools can't get homer refs anymore!!

Thats a good point....all you Oak Hill people need to stop cryin because you know Valley was just the better team!!! Obviously the scoreboard showed that!!! And by the way the refs cant score points!!

Valley had 4 players in double figures
Yates 18,Utley 15,Cunningham 14 Arbaugh 10 Valley had a great night. Jacksonoaks the fouls were 11-8 in the first half and each team had the same amount of foul calls i n the second half. Oak Hill played valley`s game and got beat. Valley outscored Oak Hill 20-8 inthe 4th quarter. I was there courtside and Oak Hill ran out of gas. What is up with all the cussing from the fans in the oak Hill crowd . The officials did not score any points for either team. Sometimes your team just gets beat.

Thanks for the stats Wtiger. I thought the fouls were pretty close. Valley played a great game last night. That was definitely their best effort of the year. Yates is really starting to come into his own. Big 3 by Utley at the end. Treg did a great job with drives and controlling the floor. Way to go nephew! I watched the 1st qtr on computer then headed over. The Valley web site is fantastic. I can't believe the job they do. Very impressive.

pmow: your right the Valley website is awesome, for those of you who do not know the students at valley High School do alot of the home games live on the internet with audio and video. Yes the game is LIVE by special permission form the State. If you ever want to watch a Valley home game just go to Valleyls.org and click on the VSN Network. They do a tremendous job and if you can not get out to a game or even if you just want to see a game check it out.

Thanks for the compliments. The kids work hard and do a very good job. It's gotten easier for me to produce these games with this crew. They just go out and get the job done.

As for special permission from the state, that only applies to football. Basketball is fair game for any school to broadcast. Of course we have to abide by certain rules.

B. You can't get on the Oak Hill fans too much, your fans were reacting the same way in Oak Hill on Monday night at the girls game. (including your coach)
Fans get emotional, sometimes too emotional and make fools of themselves. I have seen it twice this week from both teams. That is part of the game I guess. Bring it down just a notch or two though.

Valley lost to South Point at SP the first game of the year and to Wheelersburg at the Burg. Valley is 7-2 and only played 3 home games so far this year.

I'm not from either school and could care less who won and I think we all know that refs don't score points, but they sure can take a team out of the game with bogus calls. I've seen it happen too many times

about those 11 first half fouls on oak hill, tell them to stop fouling so much. one of the keys in any game is adjusting to the officials and how they are calling the game. this isn't the nba i doubt there are any high school refs who are trying to determine who wins and what the point spread will be.

as i watched the game last night, I thought both teams tried to play to their strengths oak hill going to the big men and valley going 94 feet. I agree with an earlier post that oak hill got tired. in the first sub rotation for oak hill big hale was panting on the bench after going up and down the floor for about 4 minutes. second half oaks went inside and valley had four defenders and the oaks still scored both teams played to their strengths and and valley happened to win. that is what you want both teams playing a good game and it was a good game. and i expect the same good game at oak hill when valley goes there.

Congrats to Valley on the big win. This just goes to show how balanced the SOC II is this year. With the exception of West, I believe all the other schools have a legit chance of winning the conference title. It wouldn't surprise me to see a 2 or 3 way tie for the title.

Valley is playing weel , I think their lack of an inside game may keep them from winning the league title but they are alot of fun too watch. King of like watching a game being played in Gym class with 5 guys just constantly in your face and chasing and trapping the ball.
