Several trips to the line for the Vikings in the final minute. Final Vikings 48 Marauders 41. Meig's shooting was really off.

This is why HS basketball is great. Fun game to listen to, that is for sure. Meigs came and played full out, and gave VC everything that they could want. Nothing to be ashamed of, for either squad.

And once again, a great job by the guys at 92.1, "The Frog". Appreciate all you guys do to support local HS sports!!!!!!!!!!!

I see whats meant by streaky. Meigs gets a little more consistency, they would be more than just dangerous. THese boys are playin better than previous thread posters have made them out to be. Meigs, you boys played a tough game tonite. VC , congratulations guys. Good, hard fought victory.

Steely Dan & Bassmaster. Thanks to both of you for keeping the updates coming. Like I posted earlier, Meigs is dangerous and on any given night, they could upset some teams that take them lightly. Congrats to the Meigs team for hanging tough. Way to go Vikes, you did what you had to do to win on the road. :) :) 74 Viking

All i have to say is i told you so. Earlier in the year i was told that Jacob Wells attitude was'nt a problem any more but gets a technical at southern.

Another thing is how is meigs better then people think. I heard someone quit tonight to, thats nothing new. But Meigs still loss. They're actually happy with a close loss, thats pathetic.

I had listen to this game on the radio, and to me it wasn't that close, VC was up 12 at one point and by 10 at the end of three quarters. Meigs hit like 7 or 8 threes, to keep them close. VC had a lot of steals but was unable to convert them in transition. And why would a kid quit in the middle of the game in the middle of the season?

ToughLuck01, I agree it is pathetic. But, if you look at recent history you understand why people feel that way. In the two years before Ewing was hired, Meigs was 6-36 and did not win a single league game. Over the last season and a half, Meigs has won league games and the boys are competive almost everytime out. Opposing teams do not view Meigs as an easy blowout win anymore. If not for injuries, Meigs would likely be at least .500 this season.

I agree with son of the south Being a close follower of Meigs they are better than before Ewing took them over. Some people just don,t want to admit this. I think that they are a lot better team than some think they are. GO MEIGS AND COACH EWING.

well... did jeremy quit or not. my guess is not. some can walk off and get away with it and some like my boy casey get kicked off the team.
that is the difference between coaches ewing and abbott.
if he did quit scott kennedy is ready to step it. he is the greatest baller ever at meigs

VC shouldve won this game by 20+. I dont know why this squad cant put away teams. Their "D" is very good holding yet another team under 50, but that being said Meigs should not have been this close. This game was similar to me with the Athens game. Never thought for a second the game was in doubt or which was the better team, but the Vikes miss easy transistion shots and dont seem to have the killer instinct that would send teams away knowing they didnt have a shot next time they played. This is still a win on the road in the TVC which are tough to get, would just like to see VC play to their potential fo 4 quarters.
