If FH plays as a unit they should beat Eastern tonight. Good luck lancers!

Lancers won in a low scoring game. Don't remember the score but the spread was 4 points (I think).

38-34 Lancers......snooooooooooooooze fest.
Fed will get beat by 40 if they play like they did tonight against Alexander tomorrow.

Not pretty but it's a W.

Whole lotta defense by both teams (obviously). I've seen both teams play better but the Lancers got the job done.

I think FH may have been looking ahead a little tonight. Nice job by Coach E - getting them back on task.

Good Luck against Alex.

I didn't say they should overlook Eastern. Just thought they might have been thinking about Alex... Any Howie coached team is an opponent not to be taken lightly.

I know Fed vs. Alex is a bit of a rivalry but why would you look past a TVC Hocking team to a TVC Ohio team....I know GW is saying that they shouldn't be doing such, but I don't even understand the reasoning behind this.

Congrats to the Lancer JV and Varsity for picking up TVC wins. Kudos to freshman Jon Skidmore for his exciting 3 point shot at the half time buzzer, swish!! from beyond half court.

Eastern played hard and really got after it as a typical Howie team!

OK, I think I can sort through this pretty quick.

I'm playing an opponent with 2 wins, and 6 or 7 losses on Friday.

I'm playing an opponent with 9 or 10 wins, with one loss on Saturday.

Who do I spend the vast majority of my time preparing for this weekend?

Maximus, Sorry, but this isn't rocket science. No insult intended, my friend.

From what I've seen and heard of Eastern is that they are a better team than their record. They have talent and depth but just can't seem to finish with a W :?:

I have never understood that comment. The only sense I can make of it is maybe if they were playing different teams they would be winning more. Now if he said, they have better players than their record indicates, I could buy it. But a team obviously is a group of players and coaches. When they lose it is usually because of some or all of those. But to say they are a better team than thier record tells me you are thinking they are better than the teams they are losing to. I can see when a team loses one game people saying the better team lost. But not 6 or 12 times a season. That just doesn't happen. A team that loses more than they win is not a good team compared to their opponents. Like I said, they may have better players, or not, but they are not a better team than their record. If they were their record would be better. So again if you mean they would be better against other, lesser opponents I can see what you are saying.

I guess a win is a win. I've seen the Eagles play and they aren't very good. So the lancers should be happy to escape with a win. I've also seen the Spartans play and I don't know if Federal has enough guards to handle Alexander. I know they only go about 5 or 6 deep and Alexander will run 8 to 10 all night. Good luck to both of those teams tonight.

I believe Eastern has the talent to be better than their record indicates, it just doesnt seem as if Eastern really goes after it as much as they should be..If they want to salvage the season at all then something needs to be done
