CHESAPEAKE PANTHERS 2012
Panthers return some nice skilled players Jones, Meadows, Lindsey, Thompson, Clagg, and Browning. Clagg and Browning haven't seen alot of varsity action. Chesapeake will be young even though these are upper classmen b/c of the Senior Class they had before them. The question is on the line they went from returning all starters on the line to returning one and another who started half of the season due to injury. TJ McCoy will be a 4 years starter on the line along with Junior Mark Mcmillian who was the one who saw alot of PT last year. There are many capable players to step in and do a nice job. They will be prepared to play b/c of Coach Clarks summer weight training. I believe it will be good year for the Panthers and they will contend for the OVC and the Playoffs!!

As of now there are two options, Chesapeake is in talks with South Point so when the Pointers are on the Road The Panthers will be able to use South Points field for home games. When there sched. conflict Chesapeake will go on the road. Also the other option is all of Chesapeakes games be on the road. Also the Panthers are hoping to be on their new field for the last two weeks.

So even if they play home games at another school it ll still be like all away games. That sucks.

Chesapeake is always a tough team. I'm going to say maybe they end up with between a 7-3 and 5-5 record this season.

Yes, since I began this post Josh Browning has transfered to SP and that will be a good addition for the pointers

Although I don't agree with kids going from one school to another expecially next door in the middle of the school year. I am glad to see the Pointers getting a transfer. I saw him on the baseball field and he will be an asset to them as well, I know he played Junior or Senior League for the Pointers a few years ago too.

Re: CHESAPEAKE PANTHERS 2012
WSAZ had a story about this last night. This will be tough for the team and an increased expense to the school. If they weren't ready to award all of the contracts very early in the year, I am not sure why they didn't wait another year, but I know the field was in rough shape and held water like a pond.dime-a-dozen wrote:Just found out that a deal never went through with SP and the Panthers have 10 games on the road...
