Waverly's zone slowed Valley down. Their pressure was pretty ineffective . Game was really never in question. Valley was never in the lead.

Waverly handled Valley`s pressure and the Kretzer kid had a huge first half with 5 -3`s . Valley is still not use to playing in the big game yet. Valley`s biggest player is only 6`2 and with Waverly going 6`7,6`5,6`3 I thought Valley gave them a game. I think Valley will beat Waverly at Valley on Feb 13th. it is alot different when you play on the road. I doubt kretzer will hit 6 - 3pointers at Valley and Roback did not miss last night. Burg will beat these guys by 10+. I hope Waverly wins but I just do not see it. Kretzer will have to hit 10 3`s to beat Burg.

Waverly's reserve team won their first game of the year in double overtime. Remy hit a three at the buzzer in regulation to force the first OT. The freshman Ramey seems to be improving and helping the offense.

Valley will and should continue to be zoned. They are inconsistent from the perimeter, and their stregth is the ability to get to the bucket. Yates and Cunningham are very quick off the dribble, and when teams help in man to man it allows Utley and Arbaugh to move and get open looks. If teams break Valley's pressure and force them to play a half court game, Valley quickly becomes about the 4th-5th best team in the confrence. Valley is all about forcing the other team to play at their tempo. It sounds like Waverly did that last night, and of course it helps when you shoot the 3 ball that well.

Soccerfix, i got the chance to watch this game last night and I have no idea what you are talking about- just because the lead didn't change hands a lot does not mean the outcome was never in question! This game could have went either way and to say it was never in question- i strongly disagree- this was a very good game and Waverly played well enough to win and deserve to win- but this was a closer game than the score indicated.

It was good to see the Tigers come out on top in a hard fought contest. Valley made their runs but Waverly always seemed to have an answer. Very much a team effort for Waverly. After watching last night I can see how Valley beat Oak Hill, nice team that plays very hard.

You must have been listening to the radio. It was a 10 point game from the beginning of the 3rd quarter. It blossomed to a 13 point lead at different times. Valley cut it to 7 points after a trey but Waverly responded and never was in jeopardy again. I'll admit I was concerned of the Tigers folding but they're maturing. By the way the lead never changed the Tigers led all but for a 7-7 tie.

I think a better choice of words would be Waverly was in control of the game. A 10 point lead can be overcome in a short amount of time with the 3 point shot but the Tigers would not allow a Valley comeback. Waverly answered every Indian rally.
