Manchester should get the #1, especially after Paint Valleys butt kicking they put on Western.

Still, if you look at this sectional and compare it to the Wellston one, this one appears to lack depth of good teams.

Also, I'd say you better watch out for South Webster. They play a tougher schedule than any other team in the sectional. Their record is very deceiving. they beat East on their home floor earlier this season!

If East has everybody on and shooting like they can they will be hard to beat especially with their speed. If they win friday against Eastern I look for them to get the 3 seed

I think that Manchester should get the #1 sead
But I dont think that the teams in the SOC are weak buy no means every one is saying how much better SHL team are better then the SOC I dont think There is that much different I would like to see SHL teams play SOC teams in the Tournment and see who comes out on top .

Will Westerns win over Huntington last night give them the #1 seed?

Win over Huntington locks the #1 - unless possibly a bad loss this weekend.

Manchester is still the better team. I don't see how people can say that the SOC is so good when Eastern Beaver goes to Clay last night and gets beat and Western as lost to Eastern.

Alright so lets break it down here.

Manchester beats FF twice.

FF beats Paint Valley.

Paint Valley beats Western.

Manchester drills Clay.

Clay beats Eastern.

Eastern splits with Western.

I'm not a rocket scientist, but this isn't hard to figure out. So I don't see how you could still give Western the #1 when there overrated. MANCHESTER BEST TEAM IN THIS SECTIONAL BY FAR.....

Whiteoak is a very average team this year compared to most years but I still would not want to have to play them to get out of the sectional. Also, I wouldnt want to play Paint Valley right now either. They have put a couple of decent games together and seem to be playing better than early in the year. I kind of believe that South Webster is deserving of the #7 spot behind whiteoak and paint valley.

What were the scores of the Fairfield/Manchester games. Fairfield also has beaten Washington Court House.

They are not by far better than Fairfield.....I feel they deserve the #1 for sure, but not far better than.

The process for drawing for seeding is every coach submits their selections (1-11) and than lowest total points is #1 and so on - right?

The way things are looking, you may not want to be one of the top four seeds. Some of the lower seeds might come through with some upsets!

the soc coaches will try to set it up so that whiteoak and leesburg play each other. the soc schools would rather play each other than play a shl team. manchester will get the 2 so they will have to play oak hill to get out of the district.

Sparky, I think your right. Happens almost every year. Who is Whiteoak playing this week? West Union - I think, anybody else? Are they 5-9 or 4-9 right now?

Hounds I understand what you are saying about teams beating other teams. But that doesnt always mean anything.

Piketon beat Western by 15
Piketon just beat Paint Valley by 14
Paint Valley beat Western.
Huntington beats Piketon.
Western beats Huntington.

So sometimes comparing wins versus other teams does not mean anything. Sometimes it is all about matchups. Western and Manchester for the number one seed is basically a toss up anyway you look at it. Manchester may play a tougher schedule, but Westerns OOC schedule is not that bad. They played Valley, Piketon, Paint Valley, Huntington, Eastern in the Holday Tourney, and will play Manchester later in the season.

Both teams are pretty equal in my book, with Fairfield and East not to far behind.

After watching Manchester play, and I have seen Western play, I think it is going to be a good game. I might have to change my opinion of who I think will win. I might go with Western on the road. Manchester's defense is much to brag about, and if Little get's in any foul trouble or is on the bench they STRUGGLE! I look for Western to try to exploit Little. All left handed and MHS switches on screens. I would try to get a switch and post him up. The coaches at Western do a good job and scout good, I think they will have a good game plan.
