The Buckeyes make the trip to McArthur to battle the Vikings. I don't see this being a close varsity contest at all.

Hopefully the lower levels can get things going on their end as well. Freshman seem to be improving, JV just doesn't seem to mesh well together. I'll be there hopin' for the first VC sweep of the year.

VC should win this one fairly easily. NY doesnt have the horses to keep up. VC by 15-20 depending when combs empties the bench.
As for Alex. next week will be a great game. I think a lot of Spartan fans will be leaving with hurt egos and tear filled eyes.

When was the last time VC lost a TVC game? I know they are undefeated this year, they were lastyear and the year before that. Just curious if this is some kind of TVC record.

You might want to check your stats VC went (20-0) 2 years ago beat NY by 20+ both times, last year they were (19-1) with only loss to Huntington and are (3-0) in TVC this year. Thats at least a 23 game winning streak in the TVC.

They have beat Wellston, Athens and Meigs in the TVC, and out of conference beat South Point, Logan, Southeastern, Trimble and Jackson.

What is VC's record and who are their wins and losses?

VC is 8-1 on the year, 3-0 in the TVC Ohio. They've beat Wellston, Logan, South Point, Athens, Southeastern, lost to Zane Trace(by 2), beat Jackson, Trimble, and Meigs.

They're not as good as they were last year, but have progressed nicely and are getting better. They tend to lack consistency, and don't have the fire power they did in the recent years with guys like Dut Guthrie, Stewart, and Eberts. Still Combs always seems to get the best out of his kids. This is a good group of athletes, but still has a ways to go. Talent wise, they're capable of blowing most teams out of the gym on any given night, yet, also are still capable of laying a GIANT egg.

Actually, that is not true. Vinton County lost to Alexander at home later that same season. Alexander won the TVC Ohio that year with a 9-1 league record. Their only loss was early in the season at home against Vinton County. Vinton County finished 7-3 in the league that year with losses to Nelsonville-York (at home), Alexander (at home) and Belpre (at Belpre).
