Old Timers SOC and South Central Ohio

Post by BigSlowWhiteGuy »

I have this box of 16 MM films. The cost of converting these to a digital format, VHS or DVD, is very expensive. I coverted a couple awhile back but I was hoping to find out before converting any of the others exactly what is in them. This is a list with the labels as I could make them out. I'm hoping for the help from memory of folks who might have attended or played in these games. Please post if you have any info on these. Some are self explanetory but many of them are random.

I would say that the 9/9/67 game between Northwest and ND was a blowout. ND was undefeated and #1 in the polls that year. Their coach ran up the score as often as possible to impress the voters. I think they scored 86 points in one game that year, but I think it was against Valley. It could have been 1970 though, they were #1 in the polls then also. They were the "mythical" state champs since there were no playoffs back then. But I don't know anything about the game.

I have seen several recommendations for this site but I have not used them. Yet.

Presently, they will do a box for 199.00

I think the last time Northwest beat Burg was 1975, so that would most likely be the one entitled Northwest 24 Wheelersburg 20

The East vs. Northwest game may be the 1971 season. The lights were not working at Northwest so we played a Saturday day game. Northwest went up 14-0 before we got our sweep and defense going to come back to win the game. I may be able to help you if you want to send me a private message.
