Congrats to the Indians on the win. Someone had posted on here that Valley would win 72-68 and I knew that score wasn't going to happen. Burg has to play a slow down style of offense until they get a year under their belts and then look out. Put that defense with a high powered offense and they will be tough.

Burg never could put Valley away. They were up 31-23 and missed three straight shots that would have put them up 37-23. Turnovers were a big factor and another thing is why didn't Stegman touch the ball the last 5 minutes of the game? It seemed like Burg was trying to dribble penetrate and take the ball to the hole when it was evident they weren't going to get the calls (hence three team fouls called on Valley in the 2nd half. THREE). Not saying that is what cost the Burg the game. Burg missed to many shots in the paint. How many balls did they have go all the way in and then come out. I thought they should have set up their offense and continued to work the ball in to Andy.

That was one that Burg let get away. The upside is they are still in first place and they have Minford, Oak Hill and Waverly all coming to the Burg. Valley still has to travel to Oak Hill.

Burg has to knuckle down and get prepared for SW (I think) on Tuesday. SW gave Burg fits in the first half the first time they played.

I never thought of you so much as ungraceful losers, but rather you take a win as an obnoxious spoiled brat. Call it confidence if you will, but most burg fans are obnoxious. Nothing personal...just trying to keep it real.

Might I suggest playing Roy Orbison's 'Crying'

You always were optimistic or is that opportunistic? ;-)

Congratulations to the Indians on playing hard to the end. Pirates need to learn to be a little smarter with a lead (sure passes and sure shots) but hopefully that is a lesson well learned.

All, I can say to the Indians is "DON'T waste this opportunity!" Make SURE you win out!

Unfortunately I really feel that now Oak Hill will win the league outright but the Indians can prove me wrong so good luck!

If Valley had lost this game, I know they would not blame the refs like Minford does when they get beat.

Well, I guess I was a mixture of both...

I think Valley matches up better with Oak Hill, because unlike Burg...OH will try to run with the Indians, and that helps them in the long run. We'll see what happens though.

What?????? I don't see how Valley could have blamed the officials if they would have lost.

They are too numerous to count! My favorite one involves, Wheelersburg and Valley each winning all of their remaining games and tying for the SOC.

One I feel most likely is that Oak Hill will win out and they will have the league outright.

Now if Minford beats Valley and Valley beats Oak Hill and Oak Hill beats Wheelersburg, and Valley, Oak Hill and Wheelersburg all win all the rest of their league games, there would be a three-way tie for the SOC.

And there are many computations on that. And if we are getting into a champion with three losses, Waverly comes back into the mix...

By the way: the last shot was good and went through the hoop with 0.1 seconds left on the clock.

We better use the BCS system to help us out

Get over yourself, dude. Why don't you go do what your username says and just be a falconbacker.

Congrats to the Indians. Tough one for the Burg to lose tonight, but when you let a team stick around it can come back to bite you in the butt. I haven't seen it on tape but in real time the basket definetly looked good. If it was me, I think I would have made him earn it at the line. There was a Burg defender right there beside Arbaugh. Oh, well, Burg lost, Indians won, gameover.

This sin't the end of the world for the Burg. They are still tied for first place in the SOC. They still have three big home league games and two on the road left. Win those and they win the league.

Might I suggest playing Roy Orbison's 'Crying'

Very humorous with the violin and all. Crying by Roy Orbison is burg's school song isn't it? They sing and shout when they win, but cry the blues when they lose. When they lose it seems that it is not because they were outmatched by a better team but more often than not it is because they were cheated some way, somehow. I have never heard of a burg team losing and someone saying that they were beat by a better team.
My bad drrabbit.
