Re: Warren Basketball
Lady Warriors celebrate senior night and conclude their regular season at home against Jackson on 2/6...JV at 6, Varsity about 7:30.
Warren is 9-9 overall, 4-6 in SEOAL play and in 4th place in the SEOAL North, while Jackson enters at 7-9 overall, 2-7 in SEOAL play and in 4th place in the SEOAL South (Jackson's record updated as of Feb 5 at 2:30 pm). There will likely be a rematch of these teams on 2/14 in Jackson on SEOAL Day of Champs.
Based on their records, these two teams should be very evenly matched, however, Warren has superb talent that doesnt always play at the highest team level (although they have been doing that pretty well as of late)

Warren Varsity beats Jackson, 58-52 to conclude the season at 10-9.
Warren JV beats Jackson, 41-19.
Congrats to Mallory Brooks, Kayla Chevalier, and Darci Leffingwell on three great high school careers! (and hopefully those careers arent done just yet.)

Too bad to see some things never change. He wouldn't be happy with Pat Summit coaching his daughter.

Wasnt able to make the game because of conflicting schedules but it sounds like they played a tough hard fought game. Congrats on a "good" season. Didnt hear anything about Mr. Dolak though......????

Lets just say he is more concerned about how many points his daughter scores than he is if the team wins. I hope he does take her somewhere else, that attitude is not needed. He has called out enough people this year including other players.

Not sure if a coach in Washington or Athens county would want that "package". If he takes her anywhere, I'm guessing it will be across the pond to WV.

As much as I hate to hear that, some parents are like that. Taylor is a great player who will be a big, big factor in the team's success next season (she's the most consistent junior) and a very dedicated basketball and softball player. Like most teenagers, she is subject to her parents decisions, but I really hope she stays, Warren needs her playing bball next winter.

Re: Warren Basketball
That was an interesting game Sat. Could have easily been a Jackson victory, but the Lady Warriors hung in there. Great job Ladies. We all know some games aren't going to be pretty. Stick together and good things will happen. Now get ready for this Sat., and work hard! Best of luck to three great seniors!
Re: Warren Basketball
The Warriors are playing "taller" than they are and I hope they can continue! It is neat to see three seniors so dedicated to the game.

Hate to bust "bubbles" but Mr. Dolak's problem had nothing to do with his daughter (other than the ball not being passed to open people, her being one of them).

Re: Warren Basketball
Just so we can get the story straight on here, Mr. Dolak was not complaining about his daughters playing time or how many points she scored. He was more upset with the lack of teamwork and togetherness that the team has. Some girls on the team think that it is all about them, how much they score, and that there is only a select few that they can pass to. It's a shame to see this because this team has so much potential. Hard to tell what is in store for next year...

You forgot to mention that he told a senior that he will be glad when she is gone.
Fact is he is complaining about the lack of shooting chances his daughter got, since she was not on the receiving end of enough of those passes. It was very evident early in the year that some of his favorite players were taking bad shots and he wasn't upset then and they were losing those games. By the way who leads the team in assists??
Did anyone tell him Warren won the game. He seemed pretty upset for someone concerned about teamwork when his team won the game.
I'll also add that it was senior night and usually if possible the seniors get the majority of playing time, etc. Sit back and enjoy the product they put on the floor instead of complaining. I didn't see one senior, for that matter one player, that was not playing hard and trying to win.
