My crystal ball is looking pretty pretty clear at this point. I saw bad signs even when they were winning earlier in the season. Sad .

why wasnt Codogen at the game? Can he just take off any time he wants??? The coach needs to get back in control of this team ASAP. Theres still time before the playoffs start.

Great win for Jackson. Congrats to Coach Jordan and the boys.

I'm really surprised with Portsmouth. A lot of people thought they'd really make some noise in the SEOAL South this year.

The new wrinkle was putting Andrew Bendolph at the 2 guard.......something that is supposed to give him more shots and a better opportunity to score.......it may not seem like a bold move........but actually it was significant because we need to free AB up for some more points. Andrew has played point guard since he started on the varsity last year, but this season his scoring totals have gone down. For Portsmouth to win games, we need Andrew to score.......preferably at least 15 points a game.......to go along with Tory's 14 ppg.avg. and Anthony's 18 ppg.avg. Andrew is very capable of putting some good scoring numbers......last year he racked up 40 points total vs. State Champion Chillicothe.......I think his high this year was 16 vs. Minford, and his overall average is around 11 ppg.

Our coaches are trying it to give our offense a much needed boost.......I think it is a good idea.........the ultimate goal is to improve the team by the tournament..........

Sometimes you gotta take a step backward to take a step forward - sorry I hate cliche's as well.
On paper it looks like a good idea. Hopefully for the Trojans AB can achieve a comfort level at that position which will make him more effective for the team's success.
Best wishes..

If bendoph goes to the 2 who is running the 1 ? (please don't say horn ) --he's a scorer with a scorers mentality . nothing wrong with that but it would not be a good fit IMO.

trojandave,

Many people look at Chilly's team the last 3 years and believe Anthony Hitchens ran the point. However, the ball was in Caleb Knights hands most time in set offenses (except when Coach would run set plays for Hump of the dribble). I do believe that it is difficult to try and get shots when you are trying to run the offense. I lived it my senior year as I was moved back to the point and my point production went down. AB will still have the ball in open court, but in set offenses run him off picks our cut him through to get more looks. The kid has tons of talent and can put the ball in the hoop.

GO CAVS!!!
