Space Cowboy,

I call them like I see them. My son is transferring for athletic reasons, and there's no better place than Alexander for that. Granted the academics will not be as challenging. However, he has already scored a 31 on the ACT as a sophomore.

We have already found a house to rent in the district. He will be starting classes on Monday.

Gooooooooooooooo Spartans!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

See ya Chuck!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Why does Coach Kline have himself announced as "Cadallic" by the public address guy? Iasked some NY people and they told me he gave himself that nickname. This couldn't be true could it. as

He puts himself a head of the players. Did you see the preview section this year where he was in the front palming the basketball while his players were faded in the back round. It was hilarious. Everyone else put players first. The name is a joke.

Big decisions are being made in the Dallas household. Today, I am resigning my coaching position and little Larry will be quitting the team. The Athens sports programs are in absolute disarray. Chuck Robinson should be blamed for the inferior hirings on our coaching staffs.

Little Larry will also be withdrawaling from Athens and enrolling at Albany Alexander.

Good bye Athens!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Larry Dallas

I’d like to be the first Athens Bulldogs fan to say “THANK GOD!!!!!!!” Your constant ranting and raving, coupled with your obvious lack of knowledge about your subject matter was an embarrassment to all supporters of Athens Athletics. So from all of us true Bulldog supporters; “Don’t let the door hit you in the A** on your way out”

As for the Parents, players, fans and staff of Alexander, I know that Athens and Alexander have had some heated rivalries in the past and there is a certain level of animosity among the two schools, You could even go as far as to say that the two schools hate each other.

BUT……..…. I wouldn’t wish Larry Dallas on my worst enemy.

So, My advice to you would be;

BE AFRAID……..BE VERY AFRAID…, If a used car salesman in a 70’s leisure suit and afro shows up at your doorstep with promises of overwhelming support for your athletics programs (maybe cars for all of your head coaches to drive) and a son with superior athletic abilities, I would recommend directing him toward another school. Perferably one far…far… away from Southeastern Ohio.

Larry Dallas GOOD RIDANCE, YOU WILL SURLY NOT BE MISSED.

Athens was without Cori Butcher who is still on crutches after injuring his ankle at Logan Tuesday and Frank Valentour who was out for the second game of a two-game suspension (non-game situation). He had also missed last week's game at Belpre

This would have been nice to know beforehand for those of us picking games in the Picks Contest. I never would have taken Athens if I knew that info ahead of time.

Go to Federal Hocking they have plenty of food to feed little Larry since it's stacked up in the corners and they're not throwing any food any.

Ok, here is how the name came about. In 1985 There was a great college player for Georgetown Cadillac Anderson. On Channel 5 the announcers were calling a player from Federal Hocking named Matlack the Cadillac. Jay Kline had a big game against them and I think it was Mark Hunter said after that game Jay Kline was the cadillac. I (Jason Andrews) being a teammate and classmate of Jays wore him out with that nickname. I have called him the cadillac since 1985. Most of his friends still call him that. I still call him that on channel 15 and I was doing the PA announcing up until friday when Ray Spouts started doing this. I told him before the game that I always have called him that, and wanted him to continue it for me. Jay Kline did not give this name to himself and If I hadnt been around, it more than likley wouldnt be either. I even put the cadillac symbol on his desktop While hooking up his computer in his office, since I am a computer tech for NY.... I'm Sorry that he would get any grief over a joke that I have kept going since 85.... I will always call him the cadillac.

The people doing the preview asked Jay and the players to do a lot of different poses and They picked that picture out of about 15. He is the last one who puts himself above or infront of the players. He coaches Basketball, Track and volunteers on the football staff and puts as many hours as any of the other coaches. If we have anything we need done for ny sports Jay always steps forward. Hope this clears some things up. I dont think he is the first person with a nickname.

Great win for NY. Keep up the great work Bucks!

Why would he be in the hot seat?

Without Valentour and Butcher and on the road i thought the Buckeyes had a chance. The Bulldogs scored enough to points to win, but gave up way too many.
Good luck to both clubs. Have not seen this game on tv yet, looking forward to it.
Things do not get easier for Athens as they travel to The Alley to take on Alexander Tuesday after the Spartans took one on the chin at the hands of Vinton County on their home court.

What happened to Valentour and Butcher? The Spartans travel to Athens on Tuesday (hopefully the snow doesn't cause this game to be cancelled).

My bad - I typed the game was at Alex.

Heard on tv that Valentour was serving a team suspension for that game, and that Butcher has a bad ankle sprain. Hopefully both will be back for Athens.

Look at my posts I never get on the Basketball posts and for good reason. I coach Wrestling but I will be the first to tell you Coach Jay Kline is a person who cares about all sports and kids. He did the senior night announcing at the SEOAL vs TVC quad the other night.
