Thoughts on the Game?

I am hearing that two of SV's starters have been replaced. For who I don't know. If you go by stats you would have thought it would have happened long ago. You have to have a balanced scoring team. While Tibbs is awesome to say the least he needs some help out there. Taylor has been stepping up lately to help out. They need a couple of wins to get back on track.

I agree with Grad that you have to have a balanced scoring attack from all of the team, but stats will show we do not have that. Tibbs, Taylor, Payne all hustle and are capable of mounting a good scoring game anytime. The remainder have played in spurts. Being able to play defense is great but the bottom line is you count the points at the end of the game and the one with the most, wins!!!! On another note:

The boys need their rest too. I know for a fact this is not happening for two of the varsity because they are either on the phone or computer to my house almost everynight of the week sometimes past 11 or 12. I have had to install a switch to shut my phone service down at a decent hour! The computer is next. This also effects the girls games as well. (And yes there will be a fight at my house when this gets read!)
I wish the vikings good luck. If the rumor is true about two new starters I hope it is the right ones.

I agree 100% Changes in the sv lineup should have been made long ago, if they were we probably wouldn't be a .500 team right now... Popcorn couldn't have said it better tibbs, taylor and payne are the three we need to build around. Tibbs is an animal, taylor has brought us back in several games i have seen off the bench and payne eats up on defense, but made several clutch free throws to preserve the game against notre dame. Let's go boys!

yeah tibbs payne and taylor might be good. but just like all the other boys they make mistakes too. we have more that one defense player that can really play some ball. i think that the line up is just fine, he makes his changes when he needs to. but the starting 5 play good TOGETHER. if payne and graybeal didnt have one another they would both be sitting the bench after the first half bc of their fouls. they play good defense. and you dont build a team around one person, you work together. when you have your shooters in you also need someone who can carry the ball down the quart with out walking everytime or having a turn over. apparently some people arent watching the game, they are only watching certain boys.

PopCorn, you are right, it does take points to win a ballgame and it sounds like you are a fan of paynes outside of basketball because he is a defensive player, not an offensive threat, so just wondering where you get your stats. Also sounds as if you have some issues with other players on the team, maybe you need to not talk about your homelife on a basketball forum and start making some rules around your house. Noone cares what is going on at your house......this is a basketball forum.
