What happened to the big tough SOC and the Western Indians. Looks like Paint Valley Bearcats got there 4th win on the year beating Western 74-54!

Who claimed the SOC was "BIG AND TOUGH". I've never heard that.

The word would be outcoached, but not really sure how you can get outcoached in a 20 point loss.

Matt Workman gets his 1000th point on Hall of Fame night for the Bearcats.

From what I heard Western isn't as good as everyone was making them out to be. If your suppose to be the top of your League then there is no way that you go and lose to a team that's only won 4 games all year.

My guess would be.....Western game planned for East all week as it was a big league game for them. The Indians probably kind of overlooked PV and it came back to haunt them.Western should still be the #1 seed in there sectional......They have beat 2 teams with winning records as has Manchester.

This is why we play the games. Notre Dame has a victory over Paint Valley and I believe Western recently beat Notre Dame by 15-20 points. I bet Western simply lost focus after their big battle at East friday night. One bad game does not make a bad or poor team. With the talent Western has, not many D-4 schools wil want to play them in the tournament. They can be beat, but they are vary dangerous!

excuses, excuses, what 4 and 10 team has manchester lost to by 20 points? if you have to spend so much energy in getting ready for east you aren't very good to start with. who exactly has east beaten?

East was a key league game for Western the other night. I would hope the coach would spend a majority of the time preparing for East rather than a 4 win non-conference team. A win over Paint Valley would have been nice for Western, and I'm sure they expected to win going in. As earlier posts stated, I would say they just over looked them and expected to just show up and win. With a senior lead team I wouldn't expect that, but it can happen from time to time. It was a one night slip up, this one loss doesn't mean Western is a poor D-4 team. They should rebound whoever they play next.

I would be pretty confident that Manchester would beat P.Valley 8 out of 10 times home or away without game planning for a week.

Jimmy Chipwood, you are exactly right. I'd say Manchester would win 8 out of 10 times. That still leaves two losses though, who is to say that Western wouldn't win the next 8 matchups with Paint Valley.

I was being very conservative saying that Manchester only wins 8 out of 10 home or away. Of those 10 games over half would be manchester blowouts (+15) and if they were to lose twice those games would be very tight!

winning the next 8 or 9 games against pv is not the issue, the issue is the one loss this year the only one that matters and counts. i would think the coach at paint valley would not vote western the number one seed.

Anyone on this thread actually go to the game! The officals called everything against Western. Even PV's fan's said that it was a bad officiated game. Western fans were on there feet 3/4's of the game because of bad calls. Vince Shanks went down three times in a row to shot and got fouled each time and no call. I understand a few bad calls and that your not going to see everything but they didn't see anything on our side.

If western played pv 10 times pv would maybe win one and thats the one they won but on anyother floor with anyother officating crew wesern would have stomped te bearcats... I heard several people yelling "the kid got his 1000 now you can stop screwing us". But they didnt... Western had 35 to 40 fouls called against them... 2 starters foul out and 4 players with 4 fouls... Everyone that went in for western got at least on or two called on them... And i think that pv had 15 fouls or so... Thats a little one sided if you ask me... Like i said western would have won if it had been a different crew... It would have been different night if that one kid wouldnt have been raping penwell everytime down the floor also...
