excuses, i can sometimes buy the officiating excuse in a fairly tight game but were the refs really worth 20pt? how many free throws did paint valley make out of those 38? again, teams must learn to adjust to certain officials. the answer is; stop fouling so much.

I agree, officiating can only cost you so many points, but 20. I wasnt there but if they got beat by 20, I would say it was more than the refs. Western should put this one past them. The game was pointless, I mean sure it could hurt there seed, but they arent going to be able to get an easy path once they make it to districts (Oak Hill, Manchester, Fairfield, Waterford...etc) so no matter there seed they are going to have to bring there A game in the tourny.....let this one go

OH im not trying to make excuses for the boys they have yet to play with any consistencey. I know what they can be but the bottom line is you are what your record says you are they are very talented INDIVIDUALS but they seem to be comeing up a little short on the team end of it.Coach will do every thing possible to give these boys a chance to have success but he doesnt play the games these young men do. So far in there careers theres always been those GUYS in the leader type roles now for the first time there in those spots they are a group of very fine young men and by the time the real season starts TOURNAMENTS im pretty sure they will be where they need to be and playing there best ball of the year. And if this happens look out they could be very, very dangerous to play.

Congrats to Matt Workman for getting his 1000 pt. Ironically it was against Western. Matt is the Grandson of Western Coaching Great Heckie Thompson.

I just wanted to add something.....It looks as if a 20pt win could not have been the officials doing but I am standing strong on this because not only did the Western fans think they were absolutly terrible Paint Valleys did too...The boys I know got upset when foul after foul on them was not being called.
