Only a week til the draw but alot of these teams will play 2-3 games this week,here is how I would have it right now..............

Don't know where you got your info but.........that scrimmage was pretty even and that was with Trimble's best player.I think this would be a good game though......pretty evenly matched teams.By the way if this is how the seeds ended up Trimble would play Waterford,and the 2 Eastern teams would play.....3 vs 6 and 4 vs 5 in sectionals.

6.South Gallia (7-8) Won several in a row and have some key players back!!!
7.Trimble (7-6) Lost their big man for the season!!!
8.Ironton St.Joe (6-8) Started out strong but has fizzled of late. Lost to South Gallia recently!!!
9. Symmes Valley (5-8) Lost something like 5 or 6 in a row!!
10.Miller (2-10) Just rebuiling!!!

SG did play Waterford tough last year and upset a good Trimble team a few years back.

Looks like South Gallia will be about a #9 seed......no higher than a #8... with 4 of there 7 wins coming against the christian schools.

Southern is on the list twice. If my math is correct the combined record is 81-86.
No matter, I think SG is a tough draw no matter where they're seeded.

Wheelersburg played the same christian school we played. Also, South Gallia beat a very good Symmes Valley team and then a very good Reedsville and Nathan Cozart team to advance to the district with a weaker schedule than they have now. Also, the next year beat a Trimble team with Dixon and Christman. Last season went into overtime with a regional team in Waterford and only won 7 games all year. So, South Gallia will give it their all no matter their seed and you never know.....South Gallia is better than an 8 or 9 seed with their players back.

We have played Southern 2 times!!!!!

5. Beaver Eastern (8-4)Plays in a league that is down. But still has 8 wins!!!
6. South Gallia (7-8)South Gallia has been playing good lately won 6 of last 8(Losses coming from Oak Hill, Southern twice, and Rock Hill Twice. Got a couple of players back and is a different team.

8. St. Joe (6-8) Had Nice win versus Rock Hill but lost to South Gallia
9. Symmes Valley(5-8) Won early but being beat alot lately

Southerns overall record is 11-3, not 10-3. Just saying. There remaining games are Trimble, Fed Hock, Eastern, River Valley, Symmes Valley and a make-up game against Waterford.

This is a very stupid statement. I GUARANTEE you Trimble does no want to get ahold of Eastern-Pike. The Eagles have given better teams than Trimble all that they have wanted and then some. I also put out some feelers on the scrimmage and what I heard was it was dead even and that was with Trimble's entire team in tact and now their Center is out for the season?????????

I bet the only team in this sectional that would not sweat drawing the Eagles is Oak Hill.

Future, you are entitled to your opinion. However, If Eastern Pike wins out this week and comes to the drawing at 10-4 or 11-4....they deserve the 3 seed.

Trimble also has lost to teams better than pike eastern ever thought about playing. If trimble played their schedule they would be 10-4, WITH OR WITHOUT THE BIG MAN

If South Gallia would spend as much time trying to upgrade their schedule, as they do trying to sell their team and results on SEOP then maybe they would gain a higher seed when the tournament draw comes around...Nothing personal just my opinion.

I am not concerned with our schedule or our seeding. The higher the seeding we get, it seems like the worse we play. I know whatever seed we get we will play hard and chances are we will be in the ball game.

Its funny how some people look at a team and see Christian on the end of it and automatically think they are not a worthy opponent. I am not saying these teams are world beaters or anything but if you look at some of the teams they play and the players they have you would realize that these are some quality teams. We just played Teays Valley Christian who has a kid averaging 38 points a game and they play teams like Huntington St. Joe, Buffalo, Cabell Midland and Charleston Catholic. We lost by 10 last year to Cross Lanes Christian and then turn around and get beat by 1 or 2 points by Waterford. Does that mean Cross Lanes would have beat them by 9 or 8 points? Probably not but that shows that they are a pretty good opponent. And I am in no way trying to sell the Rebels, just giving an opinion on the schedule and teams on it.

We play the schedule we are handed and it seems to have got us ready in the past. We will be ready come tourney time. Just the same as last year, we are playing the best ball that we have all year at the right time.
