Re: Waterford @ Marietta 1/26
I haven't seen Marietta play this season but before the season started I saw them scrimmage. If they have improved, then they should give Waterford a good game. If not, they will get blown out of the Water(ford).

Anyone know if this game is still a go? Marietta is in school today, but not sure about Waterford?

Waterford should win this, but since it is at Marietta they will keep it closer than it should be.

Re: Waterford @ Marietta 1/26
Good, close game at Sutton for 3 quarters, then Waterford blew it wide open! If I have it right, Marietta took the lead at the beginning of the 4th & were up 43-42. The next 7 mins. were ALL WATERFORD with the final score ending as 49-68!!!???
The story of this night was Kim Barker - and she led all scorers with 23 pts. She was followed by Sina King with 20 (fouled out with about 5 mins. left) and Jesse Drayer with 18.
Marietta was led by Leanne Ross with 18 pts. & Paige Lamb with 13 (I believe).
Congrats to the Waterford Lady Cats...they are an awesome team & will most definitely represent Washington County well in the upcoming tournaments!!
Keep your heads up Lady Tigers!!
One question...is the oldest Brown girl hurt?

Re: Waterford @ Marietta 1/26
The game was a lot closer than the score looks Marietta was in it till the end then they had to foul and Waterford made there foul shots. It was a hard fought game. I was glad to see the Tigers play well. But you can always count on local officals to ruin games!!!!
Re: Waterford @ Marietta 1/26
Officiating had nothing to do with it.
Great, close game for three quarters until Waterford just turned it on. They are an extremely well coached and prepared team with great players. They were the best team and they will go a long way in the post season.

The better team won this game. Marietta played with Waterford for 3 quarters, but had no answer in the fourth when Waterford showed why they are hands down the best team in the area. Kim Barker was huge in this one, King and Drayer business as usual...and no officiating had nothing to do with the outcome, Waterford came in and did what they had to do and got a big win.
Re: Waterford @ Marietta 1/26
As a side note to tonights game. It's always so great to see the Lady Cat fans out in full force to support them. No team in the area can beat the amount of numbers of fans the Lady Cats do. Tonight was no exception. Way to go to the fans!!!
GO LADY CATS!!!
GO LADY CATS!!!
Re: Waterford @ Marietta 1/26
i agree that the better team won the game but the officiating was still lacking. i am not blaming the loss on that but there were a lot of obvious fouls especially over the backs that were not called, yet a hand check was called late in the 4th quarter. not the reason for the loss but didn't help the cause either
