Circleville holds off Amanda-Clearcreek 53-50. The Tigers got crushed by Amanda earlier this season, but got off to a good 23-12 start to this game. Free throw shooting was a problem for the Tigers at the end, after a good start there, too, along with handling AC's pressure.

South Gallia beat Teays Valley Christian by the score of 72-28. That might not be impressive to some but Teays Valley just traveled to Cabell Midland and lost by 10 points. Midland is the biggest High School in West Virginia. South Gallia improves their record to 7-8!!! South Gallia has won 6 of 8 and those 2 losses were Southern and Oak Hill!!!

Western Brown is also a D1 school. North Adams will definitely be tested with this hillsboro team no matter where the game is.

THEY WERE PRETTY MUCH DOMINATED BY THE SPARTANS, JUST SOME LATE GAME MENTAL LAPSES LED TO A SCORE CLOSER THAN IT REALLY WAS. IT WAS 49-37 AFTER THREE QUARTERS BUT ATHENS JUST NEVER REALLY LOOKED LIKE THEY WOLD BE ABLE TO MAKE ANY KIND OF RUN ... IT WAS ONE OF THOSE 'QUIET' DOMINATIONS' BY A TEAM OVER ANOTHER ....

BTW ... HOW ABOUT THE DIVISION III SECTIONAL AT JACKSON? WOW! FOUR TEAMS WITH 10 WINS ALREADY, TWO OTHERS WITH 8, AND ONE WITH 7. HOW WOULD YOU LIKE TO HAVE TO PLAY A 14-6 OR 15-5 TEAM JUST TO GET TO THE CONVO ... OUCH!

VINTON COUNTY AND OAK HILL, ON THE OTHER HAND, MUST HAVE HAD THEIR CHRISTMAS' RESCHEDULED FOR WHATEVER DAY THEIR SECTIONAL STARTS ... TALK ABOUT AN UNBALANCED BOARD - VINTON, OAK HILL, EVEN SOUTHERN has a nice cozy road to the convo ... you could maybe through Beaver Eastern in that mix as well.
