Zanesville @ Chillicothe 1/30

Post by Hoopster »

The rivalry continues after the departure of Aronhalt & Harris vs. Hitchens & Chambers.

Thoughts on this match-up?

Zanesville is coming off a good win at Ironton, while Chillicothe attempts to regroup after losing at Warren.

Not nearly as much luster to this game.......I think CHS wins, but it will be competitive.........will Malik London be back for this game?

WHIZ in Zanesville is reporting that the game has been postponed. So is WKKJ.

To bad this game got cancelled. Whether anyone wants to agree or not, if you are a basketballl fan (outside of the other SEOAL teams), we want to see Z-Ville and Chilly match up. The Gazette did a nice article the matchup that seemingly may not happen. I personnally think it helps both teams during tourney time. It is a tournament type atmosphere and both teams will give it their best.

ZBD is right, just like Z-Ville, Chilly is loaded up with games over the next 2 weeks. We are going to be playing a Tues, Fri, Sat, Mon, Tues deal and then follow up with another Fri, Sat deal. I am not in favor of to many back to backs for the simple fact of tired muscles lead to tired minds and potential injuries to those muscles. I don't mind 3 games a week, but four is stretching it.

My hope is if the game is indeed off, that we can at least play in the DOC whether it is for 1st/2nd 3rd/4th or whatever.

GO CAVS!!!

At the Convo? How's that going to happen?

This game is the premier game of the year for the last 3 years in the SEOAL. Too bad the weather has cancelled it two of three years! Maybe, just maybe, we could see it this year yet! I'm sure Marietta, Logan and Ironton will have their say in the matter!

Sounds like the league is not much in enforcing the rules. If a school does not think they can make that game up, then they should have to forfeit that game! The other school involved then should be rewarded with the "W"! Instead of whining about one particular school, the league should take action. It sounds like Chillicothe also would have some trouble making up this game! I guess since many people are upset with one particular "new" school, maybe it's best they are leaving! Sounds like a win, win situation!

Looks like Zanesville plays Logan at home the 7th and Marietta at home the 10th so the 9th is open.

Here's what remains for both (sources: wbex.com and whiz-am broadcast schedule)

DATE DAY
3-Feb TUE Cavs vs Portsmouth
4-Feb WED
5-Feb THU
6-Feb FRI Zanesville at Portsmouth
7-Feb SAT Cavs vs Columbus East
8-Feb SUN
9-Feb MON Cavs at Jackson
10-Feb TUE Zanesville vs Marietta
11-Feb WED
12-Feb THU
13-Feb FRI Cavs at Logan, Zanesville vs Jackson
14-Feb SAT Cavs at Reynoldsburg, Zanesville vs Warren Harding
15-Feb SUN
16-Feb MON
17-Feb TUE Cavs at Waverly, Zanesville at Cambridge
18-Feb WED
19-Feb THU
20-Feb FRI
21-Feb SAT at SEOAL North vs SEOAL South

Chillicothe certainly needs this home game (vs Zanesville) for the $'s plus their final five games are on the road.
