I would lover to see Valley as a 3 and Minford as a 6. I would love to see these two play two more times.

Portsmouth's win over South Point makes them 7-5.

Zane Trace has beaten Vinton County (only loss), Adena twice , Piketon (10th ranked) and beat Huntington easily.
They are a legit 4-6 seed.

We play them Tuesday night at their place my Braves go there.

NA -1
Piketon-2
Valley-3
Peebles-4
Westfall-5
ZT-6
Minford-7
Adena-8
Portsmouth-9
Huntington-10
Eastern Brown-11
?-12
?-13
?-14
?-15 toss up.
This is the best seeding and lets everybody settle it head to head.

Zane Trace has Logan Elm and Paint Valley at home this week.
Greenfield McClain on the road Saturday night.

Their record is 10-4 right now.

I think Kickinurz has it the way it should be as of today. If Peebles would lose before the drawing I think they might go all the way down to a 6 or worse.

I think he has it the way the SVC coaches would want it.

Please let everyone know where your seedings stand Ironman92 .
Maybe you can play us in the SE sectional while your at it.
So give me your D2 seedings at SE?

Go up 18 posts from your last one and I have given my drawing prediction and what I think they should be now.

I'll comply with your request (though I don't understand your issue with me)

Deserving right now:

1.LE
2.Chilly
3.Boro
4.GM
5.WCH
6.Wav
7....won't matter can't beat Chilly or LE

Hillsboro will push hard for the #2....but I'm not buying it.

Again....you seeding looks right on...but it also looks like the SVC coaches would want it IMO.

Portsmouth's win over South Point last night gave the Trojans a 5-0 record vs. Non-conference competition.......with wins over Wheelersburg, Minford, South Point, and Greenfield McClain.........PHS owns wins over teams from 3 different leagues, and if McClain is now over .500 it gives us 4 wins over teams with winning records........

But I agree with Ozzie.......I just don't think Portsmouth will get that high of a seed.........

So, if piketon gets the #2 seed and wins....they will face the winner of 7 and 10....so according to most of these rankings..piketon would play the winner of westfall and portsmouth??? wow...who couldn't see that one coming, right? lol that would make us play (as of now), the SVC league lead tiebreaker or P-town (Coach L's high school)....

Got to love SE ohio this year!!!

I believe having ZT over Westfall is crazy....Of course, they will play again, but at the present time, according to record, you can't put Westfall below ZT.

We all have to agree, whichever teams come out of the sectional this year, we all need to support the teams because this is our message to the rest of the state! We have a lot of talent in Southern Ohio, and this could be our year! This is a strong sectional!

I really don't see Adena being much lower than a#6 seed considering that they will probably go to the drawing with a 12-4 or 11-5 record. With 6 wins versus DII schools. They stand at 10-4 right now with games this week scheduled against Miami Trace and Piketon. If they were to win both of those games and be 12-4 I feel no worse than a #4 seed would be warranted.

No issues ironman92, I respect your opinion its all good. I do agree with your D2 seedings by the way.
Adena will be lower than a 6th seed IMO. Peebles will be the key. Teams should have played Saturday if possible to help themselves but most didnt want too.

i have a method for seeding that would take the politics out and might be fair, therefore, i am sure it will never fly.
it goes like this, you get points for each of your wins and no penalty for losses. you would get 4 pts for a d1 win, 3 pts for a d2 win, 2 pts, for a d3 win, and 1 pt for a d4 win. if two teams tie that would be voted off by the coaches.

therefore, you would be rewarded for playing a tougher schedule but only if you were able to beat the bigger schools.

So you would get more points for beating Jackson than Oak Hill?

nickle,
never said it was perfect. i don't have a horse in this race, just a way to reward for wins against bigger schools and not base it solely on wins against inferior teams.

Whats it matter where your seeded, you still have to win to get out of the sectional. My senior year, SE talked there way out of a 1 seed and let us Piketon into it. They were beat in the sectional finals by a team they had beat twice in the season. They wanted to stay away from Chesapeak in the District semis. So I have witnessed both good and bad decisions by the coaches vote.

As somebody previously mentioned about Peebles being a key, I really don't think they will lose before next Sunday's draw. They have three games this week all at home. Tuesday they play Fairfield which could be a pretty decent game. Then on Friday Peebles has Homecoming against Lynchburg-Clay and then on Saturday it is Paint Valley coming to Peebles. With a good 3-0 week, Peebles would be 12-3 at the drawing next Sunday which should be good enough for the #3 seed, although if Valley would win out I could see them at #3 and Peebles at # 4. Who does Valley have this week?
