The Redstreaks tonight were victorious over the much game/much improved Paint Valley squad, 69-55. After a 10 day layoff, the streaks moved to 13-2 overall, 9-2 in the league. Redstreaks were sluggish. Several players fouled out in the game; think the refs whistles were making up for the layoff due to weather, too!
Napkin stats for tonight....
Piketon: Evan Legg- 21pts, 5 assists, 3 steals Cody Smith- 19 pts, 5 rebs Jordan Brabson- 15 pts, 8 rebs Caleb Southworth- 5pts, 8 rebs, 3 blocked shots, and held Workman (PV's 1000 pt scorer) to single digits (8pts.)...my opinion, may be SE district defensive player of the year!
PV: Marco (sophmore)-18pts

Big game Friday night in the SVC.....Adena comes to the village to play the Piketon Redstreaks. This game could have huge implications in the league race, POY in SVC, and the tournament draw on Sunday.
Western had a good win over Huntington on Tuesday night. The win moved Western to 9-4 on the season. Western now heads to Notre Dame Friday night and then hosts New Boston on Saturday.
... the Vikes go to 12-1 with a 7 game win streak - not bad for what "some" boasted a "down year to be" for Coach Combs and the VC gang ... best of luck to Andy Grillo & Co. the rest of the season ...
I have to correct myself. VCs runs were in the opposing quarters. Thats what happens when you try to answer an argument between 2 teenage brothers and still type. Sorry.
South Gallia improves to 8-8!!!! No bashing just stats. Only team I know that played buffalo is Waterford. Waterford defeated Buffalo by 8 points. Hope that helps a comparison.
