Division III Tournament

Post by route93 »

Please forgive me if I left out your favorite team. The polls only allow 10 options, so I picked the teams with the best records in the southeast district. When the tournament progresses, the teams will easily be narrowed down.

I'm not sure. Last year, I think they were at 1pm. Whenever I see the brackets available on ohsaa.org, I will post the link.

alot of good teams on that list but it seems like the lady oaks find another gear come tourney time
and the way they been playing if they get into a higher gear they may be headed back to c-bus
but anything can happen so we will see
how have those teams fared against each other this year?

The drawings are at 2 pm today at Jackson.

I am thinking of an "other" team and that "other" team I am thinking about is Eastern Brown. Eastern's lineup was depleted terribly at the beginning of the season due to injury. But they now have everyone back and they are playing great basketball. It kind of looks like they may get a #4 seed and if that is the case, they would face Oak Hill in the District Semi-finals. What a great District semi game that would be!!! It would definitely be a game I would go watch!

North Adams may get the #2 seed today. Of course, I am hoping they go the farthest, but we will see what happens.

I think Federal Hocking beat Alexander (please correct me if I'm wrong)
Alexander whooped a** in Alaska
Oak Hill beat Ironton and South Point. Both were fairly close games.
South Point only has one loss (Oak Hill)
Ironton beat North Adams

That's all I can think of off the top of my head.

I, half and half, agree and disagree. They always do light it up when tourney time comes, but their record is not impressive compared to the past. The only game of theirs that I paid attention to this year is when they played Chillicothe at home. They got stomped. Chillicothe has a good team, but I've always thought that Eastern Brown is a much higher caliber program.

Like I said earlier, they were totally depleted by injury early and that is why their record is so poor. Trust me when I say that they have everyone back now and are playing like a definite contender right now. I am not saying I like to see them playing like that because I am a North Adams fan and want us to win the league, but they are playing GREAT basketball right now.

slamdunk is absolutely correct in regard to Eastern Brown. They were missing a couple of starters over the first few games but now they are both back healthy and they are playing some good basketball. This is a team that is only 7-5, but are playing a lot better than that record. Also, Coach Kaiser has been around the block a time or twenty !!!

Tough break for the SVC today. Adena is hurt by its slow start this season, but it is still tough when people vote on how good they think a team is now instead of voting on actual production.
