SHL ACTION- 2-3, 6 & 7

Post by BALLER1 »

With last weeks weather, I am sure all of the teams are ready to get back on the Hard Wood and get at it! We are less than a week away from tourney draw, so this weeks games can make or break some teams.

Matchups-

2-3
In league action-

West Union at Eastern
Whiteoak at Manchester

Non-League action-

Felicity at Fayetteville
Hillsboro at North Adams
McClain at Lynchburg-Clay

2-6
In league action-

Fairfield at Eastern
Lynchburg at Peebles
North Adams at Fayetteville
Ripley at Manchester
West Union at Whiteoak

2-7

Non-league

Eastern at Southeastern
Fleming County at Ripley
Hillsboro at Fairfield
Paint Valley at Peebles
Ports. West at North Adams

What are everyones thoughts and opinions on these games?

Fairfield is at Peebles on 2/3 also. That could be a pretty good match-up.

2-3

West Union @ Eastern. Eastern by 15.

Whiteoak @ Manchester. Manchester by 2.

Felicity @ Fayetteville. I don't know much about Felicity, but I do know that Fayetteville is hard to play at home. Fayetteville by 5.

Hillsboro @ North Adams. This is probably the game of the week even though its a non-league game, but since its at NA I'll take my home boys by 10.

McClain @ Lynchburg. McClain by 20.

FF @ Peebles. Another big game for the small Div. but I just think that the Indians are going to have to much fire power in the end. Peebles by 12.

2-6

FF @ Eastern. Eastern by 12.

Lynchburg @ Peebles. Peebles by 20.

NA @ Fayetteville. NA by 25.

Ripley @ Manchester. Manchester by 15.

WU @ Whiteoak. This should be a really good game, and Whiteoak is playing really good at home and with that being said I'll take.....West Union by 2.

2-7

Eastern @ Southeastern. Eastern by 10.

Fleming County @ Ripley. Ripley by 5.

Hillsboro @ FF. Hillsboro by 10.

Paint Valley @ Peebles. Peebles by 20.

Ports West @ NA. NA by 30.

hillsboro would have a much better chance at home on their bigger floor as north adams' press seems to be less effective on a bigger floor.

Feb. 3

Peebles vs. Fairfield- This is a big game for both Peebles and Fairfield....Peebles needs a win to maintain the lead in the small school division and Fairfield needs a win to remain in the running for the small school title. That being said I think Peebles is to much of a talented team for Fairfield to handle at home. Peebles by 17.

West Union @ Eastern- This game is going to probably be the least interesting of the night. West Union hasn't been playing that great as of late and Eastern is playing pretty good...add that to the game being at Eastern and you get a not very close match-up. Eastern by 15.

Whiteoak @ Manchester- as much as I would like to see Manchester get another league loss I just don't see it coming against Whiteoak at home.....Whiteoak did give the hounds a run for their money on the road though...and you never know what could happen on any given night in the SHL...I'm going to take Manchester by 10, but good luck Wildcats.

Felicity @ Fayetteville- Felicity doesn't seem to have that great of a team this year...and Fayetteville isn't horrible so I will take them in this one....not really sure what else to say...Fayetteville by 8.

Hillsboro @ North Adams- If North Adams is going to lose one this year in the regular season it will either be this game or against Eastern, @ Eastern.....that being said this will definitely be the game of the night..and possibly the week... I'm going to take North Adams in this one, but the Boro can definitely beat them.NA by 5. Good Luck to Kraig in getting 1000 pts.

McClain @ Lynchburg- I feel sorry for Lynchburg this week, they have to play McClain and Peebles....this game shouldn't be close McClain is just playing to good right now....McClain by 15.

Feb. 6

Fairfield @ Eastern- This game is easily the Game of the Night. It should be a good game to watch, the guards of both teams will probably cancel each other out...I look for the key to this game to be the post presence....whose ever big guy can play the best will come out victorious....that being said I will take Eastern since it's on their home floor. Eastern by 5.

Lynchburg @ Peebles- I think we might hear the trumpet sound on this one if Lynchburg wins...but that's just not going to happen on homecoming night for the Indians....Peebles gets there largest win of the year with a 30 pt win.

North Adams @ Fayetteville- This should be no contest for the Devils, even though they will be coming off a tough game against Hillsboro on Tues. Still I'll take NA by 25 in this one.

Ripley @ Manchester- You just never know with Ripley...but I'm going to play it safe and take Manchester @ home by 12.

West Union @ Whiteoak- I would like to say that WU could win this game, but I just don't think they can. They have just been fighting back to many demons this year so to speak. WO @ home by 8.

Feb. 7

Eastern @ Southeastern- this should be a decent game, with it being a non-conference road game for the warriors...that being said I think Eastern will prevail. Eastern by 8.

Fleming County @ Ripley- I don't know that much about Fleming County, but by the look of their schedule they don't look that bad. Fleming County by 9.

Hillsboro @ Fairfield- Gets another tough one this week...I would really hate to be them this week...... @ Peebles, @Eastern, and then Hillsboro at home....tough, tough, tough....I think Fairfield will play this one tough, but in the end they will lose it. The Boro by 7.

Paint Valley @ Peebles- Peebles should get another easy win in this one....and make it 7 wins in a row. Peebles by 25.

Ports. West @ North Adams- good scheduling by NA to get this one on Homecoming night...NA by 35...could be more if they play it hard enough.

Any word on the Fairfield - Peebles game tonight?

I don't know about everyone else but I'm having withdrawal, I'm ready to get my game-face on. May the sun shine and the snow melt and let's play ball...LOL

Wonder how much this week and a half off will affect everyone, almost 2 weeks off I guess??
My picks for Friday would be:

FF/Eastern: look for this to be a good game. Thinking Eastern will get after it a little more and come out on top.
Lynch/Peebles: Haven't seen Lynch play but I know they're having a major rebuilding time. Indians should be able to put together a win.
NA/Fayetteville: NA will be way too much for the Rockets
Ripley/Manch: haven't seen Ripley play except at the preview but am thinking Manchester will win this one.
WU/WO: should be a good game, WU is probably very hungry and hopefully not too down and frustrated and WO is playing well. Think I'll take WU in what we might consider an upset by a couple.

Eastern has put together a nice run of wins recently and I believe will be toe to toe with Adena. Since they play defense I think they have good at stopping Roll and thus, beating Adena.
