Couldn't agree more! Show some love to the big boys in the trenches. They already don't get the recognition they deserve from most fans and classmates because they don't touch the ball. The coaches and the press should be the ones who recognize the value of these boys the most!

Question for the Valley faithful... Is this the first time we have been represented with a POY and COY? Crab's brother told me he thinks it's the first time that Valley has won both... Has Coach ever won the award before? I was wondering if Baer or Lundy won the offensive player of the year... Has Valley had a POY on defense? I know a few of you guys have been doing some research. Just throwing it out there in case anyone knew the answer.

Nope. I think its the first time we've had 4 1st-teamers on one side of the ball. Lundy and Darren won in 97 I believe. I'll have to check my notes, but I think that is accurate.

I'll check '92 and see, as well as '93. I can't remember off the top of my head if Bear won OPOY or if Darren was COY, and it's possible Tony Adkins could've won DPOY.
