No, but Ive seen enough HS Basketball to know that you cannot win consistantly with only a couple of great players if the others dont know or compliment those greats and you dont make a habit of toying with other teams. It will come around to bite you.

Well, ask Combs about Morey. Amazing. When he was challenged, it was a treat for anyone in southeastern ohio to watch an athlete of his magnitude on the court. Agility, jumping ability, size (6'6", 220 lbs), skill, and versatility. Here is a link to the college that he played basketball for:

Nick Morey played for Belpre and he played 98-99, 99-00, 00-01 and 01-02....was a main key in Belpres state appearance in 2001, his junior year.

Actually freakin the seat is correct. I dont know Morey, He may be the best player that was ever in the TVC. Dont know, dont care- nothing personal against this young man, however you have been making statements about how he "toyed" with other teams. NOBODY survives at any sport for very long by toying with the opposition. Since I never saw this young man play, I will take your word for it, but for anyone to be that good still requires a decent supporting cast,BTW, what this thread is mainly about.

The VC staff puts together a pretty good alumni tourney. I know there's a bunch of teams each year that show up to support the program.

Oh please stop. Dont forget to say that this team lost once in the finals and was losing at halftime by a team of old men half of whom never even played basketball in high school, who wouldve absolutely won if we never ran out of gas after playing 4 straight full court games. A team that just graduated should have blown everyone out if they were that good. Listen, I have the utmost respect for what VC and coach Combs have done since he was hired and for every player thats played for Matt, theyve all made VC very proud. Collectively that have had some real fine teams and some nice indivudual talent.
Ill just say this, after playing most of the best VC has had the last 10 years, I have much more respect for what Matt Combs does as a coach getting the most out of his teams. Alumni tourney was a blast, were signing a big free agent in the off season for next year.lol.

^^^No stop about it. Were some of them not totally in shape? No doubt. But you also seem to be sliding by the fact that Frank is in his 40s and that Lee aint even a basketball player. I saw the game and this crew started out this game that you are talking about just like they did most of their games their senior year-slow and methodical- and you got beat. Some of you didnt play ball in school, but everyone of you play basketball quite often, so dont smear the truth to fit your hurt ego cause Drew played with his old teammates instead of your team. Old men out of shape??? For the most of your team, thats streching the truth. As far as being in shape, I do know, for fact that Ben and Dustin are the only 2 that are consistant at staying in shape. Drew hasnt played that much ball since he was at Shawnee State. Ryan hasnt had the time to play that much.

I love it, trash talking about alumni basketball!!!....They were a good team. I have all the respect for Frank and his team. But honestly I think if our team has more gas and plays as a team more we win that tournament. Cant wait til next year. Oh and believe me our team doesnt play ball that much.
