The forecast calls for temperatures in the 50's......so this game will be played.

As far as the game, the Trojans are suffering from lack of play, having played only 1 game since Jan.23........last Saturday vs. South Point, PHS built a 12 point lead, only to almost give the game away in the final 2 minutes. Portsmouth had 3 players in double figures, led by 27 points from Anthony Williams.

I don't think Portsmouth has played enough games lately to get any kind of momentum.......so I'm not sure what to expect Friday night. But I know one thing......Zanesville has been playing better, and Coach Aronhalt will have his Blue Devils ready. Since PHS and ZHS entered the SEOAL, it has been a one sided series with the Blue Devils winning big every time.

We can beat Zanesville, but it will take an above average game by the Trojans......something they are fully capable of.........Portsmouth is a better team than last year's Trojans.

GO TROJANS!!!

Tobias: You bring up an interesting scenario........right now the consensus opinion is that Portsmouth is going to be an #8 or #9.......but with the possibility of going 9-5 into the draw, I just can't see the Trojans dropping below a #6 if they sweep the weekend games..........at least I don't think it would be justified if Portsmouth got below a #6 with a 9-5 record........but the Waverly sectional is dominated by SVC and SHL schools.......so that leaves us on an island when it comes down to the voting.

I think it's important, regardless of the seeding voting, for the kids to win these two games to build some confidence and momentum heading into the next 2 weeks, with 3 games each week.

Zanesville will a be tough foe, but they are beatable.........GO TROJANS!!!

Anyone here that doesn't think Portsmouth can win their bracket? Looks like a pretty strong no 9 seed.

Zanesville need's this one just as bad as the Trojan's :
1-To keep pace with Marietta and we still got them at home 2-10
2-Our tourney will be brutal but we need momentum and confidence
3-Were taking 1 game at a time it's Portsmouth only right now

So if we cut down the to's tonite and continue the good "D" we have been
playing lately and run a good offense which we can we will be in this game no doubt!!!and make the trip home pleasant :aaaaa57

Hope the Zanesville fans have safe travels to Portsmouth and back home. The weather should be fine for the trip.

Well with those kind of temps my prediction is no snow, and a TROJAN Victory.
I know we have not played in awhile, but its time to cross over that hump and get some victories and momentum going into the tournament.

trojandave,oz,biggdogg, tobias, and the rest of TROJAN NATION its time to get everyone in the gym up for ad cheering these Trojan Warriors to victory .
Does anyone know if 99.3 WNXT is going to webcast this game?

GO TROJANS!!!
