1. South Point needs to go "all in" from the bottom to the top. This includes kids and parents. There are bigger issues beyond x's and o's there. There have been several coaches at SP over the years who have had success elsewhere...

2. Chesapeake was the best football team in Lawrence County last season, but that is such a rarity...it's probably the first time in recent memory. Chesapeake-Ironton would have been a slugfest...I wish they could have matched up in the playoffs because I could be wrong...but I felt that way all season.

3. Ironton is still good but the air of invincibility in the area just isn't there right now. Doesn't mean it won't be back next year though.

Completely disagree, if we are talking this past year, I could see a combined Coal Grove/Peake team doing just as good if not better with Ironton's schedule from last year.

Say what?! Chesapeake got beat by Coal Grove Lol Ironton would beat the Peake by 3-4 Tds.

burg game a push stomped by ashland beat by 30 to both alder and hartley, loss to gallipolis, lose to portsmouth , russell a push no playoffs!! grove peake team not deep enough to even stay very long with most of those teams

That comment shows you do not pay attention to any other Lawrence County teams,,,,a combined Grove/Peake team would be the deepest team in Lawrence County, and like I said would do no worse than what Ironton did with that schedule. Also, I find it funny that an Ironton person would talk about depth, isn't that the main problem with Ironton right now, they just do not have the depth that they use to have.

Come on this is why no one likes Ironton. Combine all the teams in the OVC and they could not beat Ironton. Stop before you dig a hole you cannot get out of.

Chesapeake was a much better football team than Portsmouth, if you want an example.

Remember Chesapeake went on the road in the playoffs and almost got the win over St. Clairsville. Chessy this year was a fine football team.
