On paper this matchups pretty even Coshocton has a tough offence, D Iam not sure if they can handle Franklin and Co. Johnnies D will be tested but watchinh them all year I can truly say that they bend but dont break, Its a long hard road Coshocton is tough and hard nose team Iam excited for this one gonna be a great battle in the trenches, I think the key to this one is what line can block the best and open holes for there runners

The only game that worries me on the schedule is Coshocton beat Claymont who beat Indian Valley; however Indian Valley played that game without their QB and with a few other possible injuries.

It looks like to me that this was only jm 5 playoff appearance overall. So enjoy the ride and take it as far as possible. you look to have one of the best rb in the state but my guess this is a once in a long time good team for jm and when these players are gone you wont be heard of for a while. as for ironton you really need to upgrade ur offence or you will not compete outside of southern oh. The sign of a great coach is to see a need for a change to the offense go with it. you dont have to run the spread but you need to pass a whole lot more than you do. as for the dirty play if the refs did not see it or call it then there is nothing you can do about it.

Unless they move up to D3 they have a ton of talent coming up this years sophomores mixed with the junior and freshmen should put out a great product next couple of years. 8th grade group will mix in well with a tough 9th and 7th grade group. The 6th graders are as big, strong and fast as the 7th and 8th graders, but you know it's all about player development. The coaches from 7-12 do a great job of making the players better. The youth program is progressing, but not all of the coaches are at the youth level know or are running similar offense and defense like you would get in Nelsonville Wheelersburg or Ironton for example.

I wouldn't put a whole lot of thought into the similarities in certain games 55Buckeyes98, because if that were the case East Knox (1-9) actually had a closer game against Hartley (22-43) than Coshocton did (7-38) and Coshocton beat East Knox by 41, so you can't really go by that.
Johnstown always has and probably will continue to have very good running backs (i.e. Marcus Hendren, the Shepard brothers, etc...) but Franklin obviously has broken any records set by them.
Best of Luck Johnnies!

I agree we jtown fans and team have never been this far and are very excited, far as never coming back, I disagree Carter has produced some good teams (not as good as thos one)since he been here being around the program I can say that we have some really good talent in the lower levels and are freshman are very talented I see alot of them starting next year and we have a young RB who could do some special things in a few years so I think Jtown is on the up and you might be hearing about us for awhile

The East Knox-Hartley score is also misleading. Hartley was ahead 43-0 and had outgained EK 354-14 at the half. Hartley's coach used to coach in the same league as EK so he held back in the 2nd half.

I think Johnstown will win pretty comfortably in this game. Johnstown runs a type of defense that makes it tough to put together drives, you have to break off big plays to beat them but the bad news is you give their O the ball, and I can't see anyone slowing their offense down. Johnstown has had some great teams this decade but they have been D5 and what has always killed them is they could not pass and beat a team they were not better than. This year they have a QB that can do things no other QB they have had can do which is run and throw, and all the players only go 1 way.
As for the future who knows. This is 99% Carter's last year, and after next year they will be in a new league and I have not heard if they will be with the small or big schools in the Licking County Leagues division.

Yea it be a good chance Carter leaving after season, but Jtown got a few assistants that might take it over but thats all hear say at this point, far as the game those seniors are special group along with the juniors, they know they are close to doing something special
( my eyes they already done something special) they will fight to the end with any body, I think we will have a fight on there hands and so will Coshocton, close game of the season but johnnies pull it out in the 4th.
Go Johnnies!!!!!!!!

Re: D4, R15 Finals: Johnstown-Monroe (12-0) vs. Coshocton (1
That's why you can't really compare games, because Johnstown had their JV in most of the second half, too so who knows what the score would have been for either team. That's right, Hartley's coach was at Centerburg before.
That really sucks if Carter leaves. Sorry, but I really think the football program will suffer if he goes. I don't blame him if he does though after the way he was treated. He deserves better than that (not meaning the kids or the community because they fought hard for him), but the school board and administration was totally out to screw him over.
Kicker, Johnstown will be in the small school division in the Licking County League. When I was in school we were part of the Licking County League, but I must say I will miss the MBC.

I hope the program dont suffer cause theres alot of promise for the future of the program it would really suck for it to start sliping back it took a lot of bad seasons to get this far, but who knows but lets focus on the now and thats those Redskins,I think will be closer than experts think at least till the 4th then I think Cyoshoctons big line ( on both sides) will start wearing down and Franklin and Co. will take control I also think its gonna be low score. But I beleive the PAIN TRAIN rides on

I think if Carter was going to leave he would have left already. I think the new board can fix his teaching contract and get him the weightroom back that he would stay. He has stated he wants to retire a Johnnie!

Wasn't Carter at Westerville North before Coming To Johnstown
Re: D4, R15 Finals: Johnstown-Monroe (12-0) vs. Coshocton (1
Iam not 100% sure but I beleive he came from Desales before coming here. I also herd he might leave to coach at Otterbein but thats just a rumor not really sure if theres any truth to that, lets hope he stays, Coshoctons line are some stout boys I was looking at there roster and there as big as Indian Valley we handled them also Coshocton runs that wing t just like Ironton but there backs not as big or as powerful as Irontons might be a little faster but l have a better feeling about this one since I researched Coshocton a little bit, if we play them like we did against Ironton ( I think ironton is better team ) we have a great shot at moving on, but it comes down to what team wants it more who shows up Coshocton didnt get here by beating cupcakes so we will see saturday.

Rumors that he would leave must be because of the undefeated season. I think he prefers coaching HS kids and he has been an assistant at Westerville North and Ohio Wesleyan before going to Desales and then Johnstown
Re: D4, R15 Finals: Johnstown-Monroe (12-0) vs. Coshocton (1
Yup I'll miss the MBC as well it was a great small school league. Good news for The Knox County schools is that we are all getting into the MOAC and one division will be Highland, Northmor, Cardington, Mount Gilead, Danville, East Knox, Fredericktown, and Centerburg.
I've been hearing through the rumor mill that Carter could be the head coach at Westerville North next year.
