Re: Symmes Valley @ Green 2-7-9
What happened again tonight. Two loses in a row at home to two of the lower teams in the league. With the remaining games on the schedule Green could easily lose the rest of them. Some on here said they were headed in the right direction and playing better than ever. This will definitely hurt their tournament seeding losing two in a row at home

I guess its time to get rid of the new coach cause its always the coaches fault!

Re: Symmes Valley @ Green 2-7-9
Green had no answer for Tibbs. They didn't even know the question. No defense played at all by either team, Tibbs missed only 5 shots all night. Even the bad shots he took were falling. And he did all of this without one screen all night. Tibbs worked for every point he got. Congrats to SV, both teams played hard and clean. Just one of those games for the Cats. They played sluggish after Friday nights OT game with Clay.
SV also looked tired after their trip to the dungeon, except for #12.
I was glad to see Pierce hit some shots, looks like his confidence in his shot is coming back. Green needs to stop watching and start playing defense. We ain't worried about the tourney draw, it's gonna be short and sweet.
And yes, they are playing better than they were under the previous leadership. Any one who has seen a game will verify that.

Frank n Beans, would they be playing better because the are gettiing more experience as the year goes along and learning to play with each other or is the new coach that much better than the one that left. You did say they played no defense.Just asking your opinion. I have coached some biddy ball but why do so many on here think they know what should be taught and what should be done with a program when I myself included have never done it before as far as taking charge of a program on the high school level. Its much easier to make judgement on people when siting in the stands and making suggestions of what you would do until its all on you
Re: Symmes Valley @ Green 2-7-9
Like flash said Operator/jumper/interestedinall/Charlie Kitchen2, no one is blaming the coach. Although the previous coach destroyed some players confidence by telling them they were not allowed to shoot. That's devastating to 15-16 year old minds. They are gaining experience, like you said, and confidence, which wouldn't have happened (IMO) with CK. Shut up and leave these kids alone. The damage has been done and they're slowly coming out of it. Fraley is doing the best he can with what he's got. We're behind him, just like we were with the first one before he walked away.

What was the final score? I read where they lost by approx. 11 points, but am curious to the final considering 1 SV player had 42. Have a day young man!! I've not seen SV play so don't know anything about any of their players. Is Tibbs a perimeter or post player? Did he wear out a man to man, zone, or just anything that was thrown at him? Sounds like quite a performance.

I believe the score was 67-56 or something like that. It was an 18 point lead for SV for most of the game until the end. Not as close as the final score indicated. Tibbs was in a zone, nothing Green tried worked. He plays anywhere he wants though 90% of his points were from the perimeter. My hat's off to the young man, he is a special player.

From what I read he was hitting from outside and inside. Sounds kind of hard to stop!
