ZBD ... LOL - when you have a Coach Aronhalt your team never really goes anywhere - just takes a roundabout way of getting back to where they should be ... congratulations to the Blue Devils on a BIG win tonight ... looking more and more like a Blue Devil vs Cavalier rematch of the rematch for the SEOAL on the DOC the 21st ... the more things change the more they stay the same ...

... just saw where Waterford behind the 25 point/20 rebound performance by DJ Cunningham knocked off 15-0 Fort Frye tonight ...

Waterford 47
Fort Frye 45 a final

Wow! What history. GA gets a three way sweep to top it off. Jottings, I remember scoring my first varsity points way back when at the old barn. It was not as old back then. Steal at the 1/2 court mark off a trap and a layup. I thought I was on top of the world. IMO, nothing better then High School Hoops.

GO CAVS!!!

Pfloyd, It's kinda hard for you to move ZHS back into the top 8 with only a 7-7 record isn't it? hahaha....IF they continue to play the way they have been playing, I wouldn't bet against them head to head with any but 2 of the top 8.

... Tropical Breeze - would be a first in Elite 8 history LOL - the ville takes care of "bidness" this week vs Jackson Friday night , then Warren Harding Saturday ........... don't know how you keep 'em out of the top 8 ... Hillsboro has dropped 2 games this week already, ZHS beat Marietta by 15 points ... a definite Ouija Board pick come Sunday LOL ... it's looking more and more like another Zanesville vs Chillicothe DOC ...

Pfloyd,
You are not asking for much are you? Take care of Warren harding? If they win Saturday against Warren Harding, you better move'em to No 1 on the Elite list!
I'll be pulling for them, should be a good warm up for a tough Chillicothe team..

I'd value a respectable finished and a desent tourney more...although I must admit, i've been quietly tracking our slow but sure climb back into the thick of things here.

Hey, it's not Pfloyd's fault our out of league schedule might go undefeated against his Elite 8.

GO BLUE!

Throw the record out the window! Zanesville has been "crushing" very good teams lately and are clearly a top 5 team in SouthEast. I would probably have to put them at #3 right now.

Piketon Redstreaks were victorious last night over their nemesis Southeastern Panthers last night 54-40. Southeastern played hard, but the Streaks after a slow start, pulled away the 2nd half. Been a tough week for the streaks; Roof blows off during practice in the wind storm; running sprints in the hallways...But all the distractions, you have to play through and get the wins!.. This win keeps Piketon tied with Westfall for the league title (after Westfall pulled out a 1 pt win at Zane Trace). Piketon was led by Cody Smith and Caleb Southworth. Southworth again played stellar defense on SE's Elam, and puts up 14 pts, 15 rebs. to go along with the defense.

Piketon has 1 more SVC league game next Friday night at rival Unioto. Tonight the Redstreaks will play Vinton County at OU-Chillicothe for a big pre-tourney matchup. Should be a good one. Next week, Friday they play at Unioto to capture at least a share of the SVC title, then Saturday, then finish at home with New Boston (make-up game) on senior night. This game may be played in the old High School Gym due to the damages caused by the wind. We'll update that later.

Piketon:
Cody Smith 21 pts, 5 rebs., 2 steals
Caleb Southworth 14 pts, 15 rebs, 3 blocks
Evan Legg 10 pts, 3 assists, 2 steals

SE:
Willard 13pts
Hahn 8 pts.
