Could be very good game its a hard place to go into and walk out with a win.If WESTERN brings there defense with them they should be ok.The play of the jrs. on the team lately has really helped on the defensive end as far as controlling tempo and guard penatraition.

If Smithson, Shanks, and Penwell are on their game I think we can pull off a win. Also I would like to point out that I think Flint, Wilford, and Leslie are all doing well. Flint can make a half court shot like you never seen lol and is a great kid with a lot of heart to put into the game also good hustler. Wilford from the beginning has been getting better. Leslie, I feel has stepped up. I at first thought he wouldn't be very good but he is beginning to grow on me. If they can all play as a team and be on their game: Western will pull it off.

Tibbs had 42 against Green on saturday, if he has another big game I say the Vikings will win this one by 7.

western by 5 sv had alot of players step up and play realy well tonight.western has 4 very good players

Jacob Leslie played an awesome game! He held Tibbs to only 7 pts. after him coming off a 42pt. game against Green. He actually only allowed him 5 pts. After he left the game Tibbs scored 2 more. If Jake can do this against Osborne Friday nite things look very good for the Homecoming. The whole team looked good. Teamwork is gonna be what it takes to make it deep in the tourney. Keep it up boys!

I thought Tibbs was a perimeter shooter? Its hard for me to imagine Jacob Leslie coming 20-25 feet from the basket and shutting down a perimeter scorer? He doesnt have the foot speed to defend a scoring guard - if that is the case than Tibbs is highly overrated and i dont care how many points he scores - he is not the Soc POY. What am I missing here?

Kudos to Jacob Leslie. He played one heck of a game. Held the Tibbs boy to only 5 points. Tibbs scored 7 but his last 2 points were after Jacob fouled out. The whole team played one of the best games of the year as far as patience goes. They slowed it down when they needed to and waited for good shots. Vince Shanks played a strong game under the bucket.

You guys are looking great for tournament time and thats when it counts. Keep playing hard and remember to play as a team.

I couldn't take the trip to Symmes last night but way to go Jacob Leslie. I heard Bobbie Smithson had a really good game also. I agree if Tibbs is so good then why couldn't he score against us at home very well or at his place. Maybe no one can shut him down on any other team I'm not that impressed. Maybe i'm wrong but that is just my opinion.

coach for western had a good game plan box and 1 on tibbs and if he got the ball he got double teamed tibbs done the right thing and let his team mates score and if not for 2 turnovers at the end of the 4th vikings win,tibbs is still very good but his team mates are starting to get the exsperence they have needed and stepping up good job vikings,also tibbs was called for 2 fouls in the first and 1 early in the second 2 of the fouls was blocked shots on shanks after the ball left his hand and was not even close to any contact the rest of the players on both teams was able to put there hands all over the man they were gaurding but tibbs never complained and kept playing.he also made his 7th point for sv to take the lead with 2 men in his face for the most part tibbs done what his team needed him to do pull the defense and let his team mates score way to go tibbs,and hats off to westerns coach good game plan also hats off to western you have a very good team.to the western fan that said tibbs is over rated and didnt score much at western you need to go look again tibbs high score of game with 18 and had 21 rebounds shanks had 12 smithson around 10 to 12 ,but these players are still very good players.poy should be what a player does all season not 1 game look at the stats and rankings of the player i dont see any other player getting this kind of attention from a defense.i would also like to say way to go vikings everybody is playing realy well.

I wasn't trying to say that Tibbs was bad just from what i've seen that is what I was basing it on. As for his season I agree that he must be doing something right to be putting up all those numbers.

Western played a very good game at the Valley last night. With that said the Vikings team also played one heck of a game in that they had never had to step in and pick up the scoring pace before. No. 41 played a good defensive game against Tibbs too given the fact he was allowed to hang onto Tibb's jersey all evening. This was seen many times and was ignored by the officials. It was exciting to see the other Vikings boys do what needed to be done to stay in the game, it would have been easy for them to have given up but they didn't. Hats off to all of them, especially Ryan Stanley who gets very little recognition but really came alive last night and played his heart out, and to Luke Taylor who kept the spark going and is really turning into a true team leader. Talk about hustle! All of the boys deserve credit for staying in this game. Tibbs took two defenders with him everywhere he went which opened it up for scoring opportunities for the offense which did what they were suppose to do.
Western is loaded with talent and very balanced inside and out. Both teams have really good athletes and they represented both schools very well last night.

there could be alot of players in the league that could get poy this year new boston has 1 eastern has 1 east has 1 or 2 western and symmes valley are in there to lets give all these kids an award because they all deserve it this year alot of talent on all the teams lets not have the argument this kid scored this against this team or that team who cares I bet if you asked each player they would rather trade the poy for a state title,lets saw a little piece of the poy trophy and give them all a piece of the poy.its been fun watching all the soc1 this year I hope one of them make it all the way

Man, I love this time of year...All the parent's start their petition to get their baby boy mentioned in hopes of seeing him get POY. I personally wish they would do away with this award, then you might see a lot less selfish attitude on the floor. Maybe chances of moving on a little farther in the tournament would be the objective.
