West needs to make this an ugly ground game. If we get into a shootout, our chances go down. IMO

Fairland had less than 60 yards of offense for the entire game last week. They only had 11 plays in the second half on offense. We had the ball for most of a quarter on 1 drive. Thats what we need tonight. Keep the ball and keep pounding those back. Portsmouth will have to crowd the box, then were looking at breaking the big run.

They need to hit Meyers alot also. If they do, hopefully he'll get rattled and make some bad descisions.

Myers will be hard to catch. However, the line needs to block for him because West is deep at lb and db and he doesn't need to keep trying to outrun a fresh guy every play. If we are able to spread the field and establish the run earlier it will go a long way towards us being competitive in this game.

Great confidence builder for West. Still don't know how good this team is. We may not find out until week 10.

CONGRATS To my beloved SIDERS!!!

West's defense seemed to in the Portsmouth QB's face just about every play.
West looked pretty awesome tonight.

Good Luck to the Trojans in the SEOAL and the rest of your season.

it might be hard to rattle Myers and hard to hit him he can move and has a huge arm, he has all the tools. i'm not trying to be smart but it would be safe to say that west or anybody else hasn't faced a athlete like Myers.he is on a different level.[/quote]

they rattled his cage all nite. Compton 44 must have hit him 10 times himself. Less than 50 yards of offense against us for Portsmouth. We've gave up less than 100 yards and 0 points in 2 weeks. Pretty awsome. Wonder if people around here are still doubting a possible Region 19 run for West?

Final ? I left when it was 28-0 . Portsmouth's O was horid , just terrible. How can you not gain yards when you have a Penn st and Florida st recruit anchoring the line ???? ugly !
