I don't know onb, it's still in ironton's favor I know, but very close to being even now I believe. burg has reeled off a bunch in a row on us. I'd be curious to find out myself.the tigers need to sink that pirate ship.that would be another good series I bet. ny/burg, if the bucks get back on track.

I MISS IRONTON'S SERIES'S WITH NY, ATHENS, LOGAN, JACKSON, MEIGS, PORTSMOUTH WEST, WAVERLY, WELLSTON,CHILLI,---------------I'D LIKE TO SEE AN IRONTON LUCASVILLE VALLEY SERIES AS WELL. KINDA HARD TO MISS THE SERIES'S WITH THE COLUMBUS DESALES, WATTERSON'S, BISHOP HARTLEY'S N SUCH. IRONTON JUST DOES NOT HAVE THE DEPTH TO PLAY THESE TEAMS AGAIN FOR A WHILE

onb as far as the ironton/burg series. as of 2007, it looked like ironton was up in the series 13-4. I am not sure past that point. but burg has won the majority since then.so I'd say it is getting close to being even.

17-10 in irontons favor
Burgs won last 5
This has been a great series, a few blowouts on both sides but out of those 27 games I'm guessing 20 of those were great close hard hitting football games

Vass before transfers 229-75 burg 5-1, Pendleton and transfers 211-84 6-2 ironton

2003 Logan vs Marietta at Logan

Marietta was up 19/07 and then Austin Left/Right/up the middle...final Logan 40/19

Austin came close to 400 yards....would have finished with about 450 if one long TD wasn't called back.

there ya go onb.---------------------------- this really has been a very good series indeed with monstrous crowds and gates.i thought burg had won 4/5 in a row. but it would be a huge injustice for these 2 to not play. as big as it gets around here rivalry wise. right up there pretty much with the rivalries with Portsmouth and Ashland.

I think it was Lut'z first or 2nd year. they were decent but hadn't really learned how to win. They were playing at Jackson and in the 3rd quarter the Tigers were trailing, and the offense came off the field. The Tigers star running back that year was Alfonso Johnson. as he came off, he threw his hat down, kicked it, then picked it up, and started roaring walking along the sideline from one end to the other and yelling to the players, "Get Up!, GET UP! GET UP! Lets get going!". As the players started to get his energy and stood yelling to the defense who then stopped Jackson, the offense went out and scored, and with that the whole team just turned on for the rest of the season. That one act seemed to get them serious about playing.

Minford-Piketon 2007 First game for a new coach back and forth all night. Fun game to watch.
Minford- Wheelersburg 2010- Burg came in with people predicating a 40+ point win. Burg stopped on two point conversion with a minute left. Securing SOC for the Falcons.
