There is no way Amanda will beat Coshocton. Coshocton's running back is better than Amanda's stud was.

If you guys think OHSAA ever had a clue .... look at their thinking during the Central District basketball tournament. They have the D.IV and D.V teams playing in D.I venues. They have the larger DI schools playing in Columbus City League sites, some that don't even have 100 ft floors or smaller D.IV or D.V sites. I really think they either don't want fans showing up or the members own big stock in oil.

Ironton and Wheelersburg fans need to eat at the Coffee Cup in Nelsonville. The prime rib is excellent and the Mt. Dew is served in wine glasses! ;-)

Go Burg!

GO TIGERS!!!

I agree...even with their almighty back...they weren't that special...they had an above average team...but that is it...I would put them above Gallipolis...but below wheelersburg on Ironton's schedule as for toughest teams...Probably would rank as number 8 or 9 toughest on our schedule...they aren't that good...

We normally always play Coshocton is Athens...however...with the state being even more ignorant this year than normal...We might play in Lancaster or Zanesville...might as well give them a home game...

dude , i don't mind the drive at all. lets get that straight. the fans are and will be complaining about seating capacity and rightfully so.

check this out coshocton, and amanda clearcreek play in zanesville. like here to portsmouth for coshocton, but amanda way more travel. but there are at least seats. thats what i'm complaining about.

Even if they bring in extra seating...it won't be good seating..probably won't be able to see from where they would put them...It's sad that the state wouldn't take advantage of all the better sites they could have chosen from...really a bad job by people who are supposed to be doing what is best for the kids...I believe..just as the State Championships are done...It's all about the mighty Dollar...There is no good reason the Championships shouldn't be right in the Middle of the state...nor a reason why it should be in the far north eastern corner of the state...especially with the facilities that Columbus has to offer...and they are making available...sad...poor job of the people who are in charge...

90,
Actually, the last time we played Coshocton in the playoffs, it was at Groveport-Madison. I would expect GM, Lancaster, Logan, or NY again next week..... regardless of the opponent........ assuming the Tigers win this one!!

TIGERS90........Why do you even follow the games?............The state powers that be stack things against your tigers every year...........they always screw you on travel..........they probably stack the officials against you too, those are the only possible explanations you don't win the state every year!!

Papps...I don't know what team you enjoy watching the most...or so call "Your Team"...However..If you follow Ironton much..we normally meet Coshocton at Athens...Might not have in the early nineties..however..I know when I was playing...that was where we met them two years in a row...and we actually nick named Peden Stadium Home...seeing that we were ranked #1 and had to travel the furthest distance of anyone in the region...As far as the officials...I have not complained about any in a long time..I have seen some bad crews...however...the second half of the season at the Ironton games have seemed to be called very well...

If the game was at lancaster/logan/or nelsonville...we might as well go to their home stadium...it would only be a short travel for them...an hour and a half or so for us to athens...two hours to Lancaster/Logan/Nelsonville...that wouldn't be fair...however...as said earlier..we aren't dealing with the Smartest Cats...Jackson would be a more even site...

N-Y has a very nice facility. I am sure the kids will enjoy playing on that field. That is what it is all about anyway right? The kids enjoying their high school years and playing a game? I would bet the kids are just happy to still be playing right now and most don't care if the fans have to snuggle up close or stand. Good luck Ironton! As a local high school sports fan, I was going to come and watch your team play and root for them but wouldn't want to take up any of your space there.

Nobody should be surprised the Tigers have to travel the furthest distance. We go through this every year. The only time a playoff venue has gone in our favor is in 1999. We were the 8th seed and played 2nd seed Cincinnati Indian Hills in Portsmouth, which as all Ironton fans remember we won that game fairly easily. "If" we beat Heath get ready for a trip to Lancaster.

What a bunch of pi$$er$ and moaners, my son plays on Tigers and this is his senior year, I'd travel to the moon to watch these kids play. And not have a problem standing if need be, love these Tigers.

I'm glad N-Y got the game, at least it's not Dublin.

I'm just a HAPPY PAPPY!!!! :-D :-D
