They aren't ovelry big. They play their tales off for Coach LaFon. Maybe a 6'5...a couple of 6'2's...a 6'0er. Just a great team. The Fletcher kid is large but unbelievable how he runs the floor...he's gotta be 6'5 and is a frosh.

Completely off the subject here but doesnt 1335 students seem awfully large for a D3 school? You think that program is right tobias or a misprint. I looked on their website but it didnt say their enrollment. Im just curious.

I guess Oak Hill is now undefeated. I would guess that has to come in to play if they dont lose before the draw. They should be number 1.

Irontons usual starters are:

(without 11 - 6'0 Tommy Waginger)

11 - 5'8 Malcom Morton
11 - 6'1 Travis Elliott
12 - 6'2 J P Taylor
12 - 6'0 Erin Edins
12 - 6'3 Tim Kochendoerfer

Ironton goes several deep without losing much on the court and they substitute frequently. We have a couple that are 6'4 that can come off the Bench which includes Fletcher.

Is Morten the #10?......I know #10 just kills Jackson with his speed.

With all the cancellations of recent days, it really hurts Portsmouth's chances of getting a #6 seed or higher come Sunday.........but if we end up a #7, the Trojans are very capable of knocking off Ironton or Oak Hill......but I think the #7 vs. #2 matchup will be Ironton since the Oaks will most likely get the #1 seed now that they are undefeated after the forfeit win vs. St. Joe.

The #6 and #7 seeds will come down to Portsmouth and Coal Grove.....

The weather forecast for Friday and Saturday looks good for PHS to play......at Gallia Academy and then Chesapeake at Portsmouth.......two wins would put us at 9-6........maybe good enough for a #6 seed, especially if we can beat a good Panther squad.

A #5 seed is a possibility if Portsmouth could beat Ironton, Gallia Academy, and Chesapeake, but with the cancellation of the Ironton game, that #5 seed looks like a real longshot. There is a chance that the Ironton game could be played Wednesday if the Ironton-Jackson makeup is cancelled.

I'd say right now that Wheelersburg, Rock Hill, Minford, and West will make up seeds #8-11.

Hopefully our kids can shake the rust off from the layoff and play some good basketball this weekend........but then's there's a lot of teams that are going to be shaking off the same rust.

peake will likely be within 1 of Portsmouth in the seeding....I'd bet a bit that Peake will be the 3 on most "ballots".....Portsmouth is going to be in that 4/5 game.....will it be Valley or South Point?

Clearly, this is one of the hottest topics, if not the hottest, on SEOP. Fans of the region are awaiting the results of the Jackson seeding, as they will say a lot about the fairness and ethics of the coaches involved.
