I think you're 100% correct that it comes down to school boards deciding if they play or not that's pretty obvious and not private information. You booking a 2nd wave on a virus that has never been around and never been dealt with isn't so set. I mean they change they're thoughts every day as they learn more. 80% of ppl are asymptomatic, it was you can get the virus off surfaces, now they don't believe it's near as contagious on surfaces as original thought. Actually of you do just a small bit of research you'll see the numbers are only slightly up on a day to day basis some states on average see a 100 or so increase. However, we are testing more ppl now than were being tested even a month ago so that is going to go hand in hand with more positive test. Stop talking to your neighbor so much and read a bit, get some facts not opinion.Paladin wrote: ↑Mon Jun 08, 2020 12:11 pm BTW, there will be a second wave. Book that too.
Look at all the states where they have an R governor who opened their states early. Infections and deaths are climbing up the charts. Many of those people travel to other states.

Paladins take on reality is largely due to early onset dementia, little man syndrome, and a result of too much time hanging around rest areas. Best off to just completely ignore him before he starts yammering on about what a great player/coach/entrepreneur he is/was. Then he will tell you that you looked slow on film.

Observation, why is people in leadership roles cancelling pools, State Fairs, County Fairs, concerts just about anything where people is in close contact with each other and they are promoting social distancing have stringent guidelines to go by if they try to have something. Wear face masks, wash hands, but this group of youth leaders see no problem putting at risk youth to what, play a game that is more important than a world wide pandemic. Until local city health departments step up and enforce or site groups that is not following these guidelines,, this will be a liability so when schools start, the people that has done what they want, risk infecting entire school body’s and staff when these students mingle with students that has tried to be safe. So where does the school boards draw the line with the virus spread this fall.
Re: No fans this fall
not ALL people in leadership roles are doing this. only the snowflaky ones. that can be remedied in November. Moving along ....NOTHING to see here.....Prime Time wrote: ↑Tue Jun 09, 2020 10:11 am Observation, why is people in leadership roles cancelling pools, State Fairs, County Fairs, concerts just about anything where people is in close contact with each other and they are promoting social distancing have stringent guidelines to go by if they try to have something. Enough dang do you ever quit. You’re the most pessimistic person I know. Yet through all that legion games have restarted and some little leagues are playing. The kids are working hard in lifting and will begin to start practicing in July. Have a nice day.Prime Time wrote: ↑Tue Jun 09, 2020 10:11 am Observation, why is people in leadership roles cancelling pools, State Fairs, County Fairs, concerts just about anything where people is in close contact with each other and they are promoting social distancing have stringent guidelines to go by if they try to have something. If you want someone to enforce something, let's start with someone regulating your use of commas.

He might gave ok but so far up until middle of August , 12 county’s have cancelled, most having Junior fair only. And just 2-3 having full fairs. Meigs is having full fair. Pick away county having a restricted fair, so in reality each county is not having a full fair except a couple up thru Middle of August.

Believe it or not making light of the job Gov DEWine has done is just another example of people not following guidelines set forth by leaders . It’s a I don’t care world , I’m doing what I want. Let’s see how your boss would react if all these people did this on there job.

Re: No fans this fall
If anyone is reading the papers, quite a few states have rising numbers since many reopened, both number of cases and deaths. That will be troubling for many authorities. Ohio has hit a plateau, not going up but not down either. With the state reopening and many not using masks, not observing 6 ft. and crowding into areas, it may only be a matter of time before the current wave continues. Many want sports, but are unwilling to do what prevents the spread. In the end, should Ohio’s numbers go up and they refuse to play sports, people will have no one to blame but themselves. Responsible people take action. Fools always pay a price.

Re: No fans this fall
I can see how the schools. School boards and State of Ohio Will, have to put a 14 day quarantine on the kids that have played baseball, and softball all summer. That have shared seeds, water coolers, this is a recipe for rapid spreading among faculty, kids in classrooms, especially family’s and kids that have tried to,avoid this virus all summer . They are neither social distancing, wearing masks, taking temps, . So first day of school you will be mixing high risk people into the population that has tried to do the right thing. After reading the above post and being grouped as a idiot and a puppet says it all. Wow. I hope the health departments stepup there watchful eyes in these circumstances and someone in the State of Ohio health div is taking notes and observing this.Paladin you are exactly right , 22 states is seeing rising numbers as we speak.
