2022 Cincinnati Reds
Re: 2022 Cincinnati Reds
Reds fall 9-3 in LA tonight. Jonathan India would leave this game with an injury. Hoping it’s not too serious and he doesn’t miss much time. The bullpen struck In the 8th inning. Tony Santillan was tagged for 3 runs, Ryan Hendrix for 2 more. Dodgers batted around in that 8th inning. Their lineup is so stacked, doesn’t seem fair. Plus side is Sanmartin pitched 5 quality innings.

Re: 2022 Cincinnati Reds
The injury is reported as a hamstring. He apparently will not go on the injured reserve list so I guess he is day to day on availability. I just hope they do not rush him back and risk further injury given that the 22 season appears to already be over for the Reds. Of course given Reds ownership and management, they will likely do the wrong thing.

Reds could be 2-10 when they leave the west coast!!! Bet the coach keeps his job if it would happen ???
Re: 2022 Cincinnati Reds
Getting rid of Bell would solve nothing, and with his dad in the Red's front office, I doubt he is going anywhere. The Red's problem is simply the talent they have available to put on the field. Cincy currently has the worst record in all of MLB which is the product of having the second worse team hitting and team pitching stats in the NL.

Re: 2022 Cincinnati Reds
A 100 loss season is possible based on the early results, but that also means there is room for improvement. We should root for Votto, India, Stephenson, Castillo, and Mahle. We should hope the Reds continue to develop rookies Barrero, Greene, and Lodolo and other prospects for the future. Yet Reds management seem to have problems executing a "tank" strategy. The future is always 5 years down the road.

Yeah, I am sure Votto is crying all the way to the bank with his $22.5 million a year contract. Of course is he carrying his load? Batting .148 with no extra base hits.

Comrade geronimo, good news! The Reds added a veteran catcher to a minor league contract. Help is on the way!

Reds place Nick Senzel on Covid Related injury reserve list. Yet the article states no positive test?

Re: 2022 Cincinnati Reds
I'm as big a Reds fan as anybody else. But, this season so far has been painful to watch.
Re: 2022 Cincinnati Reds
Season has been horrible starting off. Brutal schedule to begin but still..
Votto never starts off hot. Wish he would, but weather starts to warm up so does he. We'll see where it can go from here.
As far as the David Bell being gone, I doubt it. I am actually a fan of him and my defense for him will be that he doesn't decide what players are on the team, only who will play. With half our squad on the IL and us only having 2 bench bats the last few games, not much he can do in that regard. Sure Bell has made some iffy calls here and there, but ownership is who decides his players.. but, where ya gonna go am I right?

Re: 2022 Cincinnati Reds
The season is already lost as to playoff contention but that is ok if they do in fact continue to execute their rebuild plan by developing their young talent. Greene and Lodolo. Barrero, Fraley, and McClain. Their future is not Votto, Moustakas, Castillo, or Mahle. The question is not whether or not their strategy is sound, but does the Reds front office have the ability to execute the plan? I believe the fans will tolerate a losing season if the Castellinis' and Krall would show some competence.BigGuy10 wrote: ↑Mon Apr 18, 2022 9:05 am Season has been horrible starting off.
