181 points in a 32 min game? That maybe had a running clock for some time? Was there an ounce of effort on defense?

... as I posted the regular season Elite 8 rankings start next Sunday 12/8 @ 8p ... it will be the "Week 1.5 Edition" ... I went through this past 1/2 week of action, put the scores on the big board then made the first adjustments to the Elite 8 rankings based on this past half week of action ... the Elite 8 teams 1-8 stayed the same, minor adjustments were made from 9-71 ... nothing major as I wanted to start making a few adjustments based on what I've seen in scrimmages/ personnel changes, etc. - no team jumped outrageous places up or down the rankings , just wanted to make a few adjustments before the Week 1.5 Edition of the rankings comes out (more for me, than anything else) ...

The Peake's first game is not until the 9th. Will go watch scrimmage vs Huntington St Joe this evening and Tuesday will be at Waterford vs Meigs.

From what I've seen from the scrimmages and games through week one
Meigs and Minford are the best two teams in the area. Jackson had a convincing win against Vinton county. The youngins are no longer youngings anymore. Jackson is def a team to consider.
Unioto losing to Miami Trace was a surprise to mean. Miami Trace with a nice convincing win to start the season.
New Boston losing to West Union is a head scratcher. I thought New Boston would be better.
Piketon starting off 0-2. Doesn't look like a Miller team right now. They will be better at the end of the season.
Gallia kept it close with Warren for a few. Gallia may surprise some.
Portsmouth West looks great.
I'm excited for the Fairland vs North Adams matchup.
Eastern dropped 107. Rv upsets southern.
St. Joe knocking off rock hill
Alexander knocking off Trimble. This might be the worst Trimble team I've seen in years. Makes sense why Howie left.
Notre Dame had a good win against valley.

Week 1 and chaos already. This is going to be an exciting year of high school basketball.

As far as the best teams in the area, wait and see.
Minford with what they have returning will be tough. We saw Meigs vs Waterford and Meigs if can get guard play fixed they will be one the better teams.
See Portsmouth ND in scrimmage and they will be one of teams to beat.
Portsmouth West has some shooters any plays good physical defense.
Fairland with Buchanan with be in the mix.
The Peake starts with Rock Hill and Portsmouth at home next week then go to Gallia. With returning players Maddox Keezee, Jacob Skeens , Kayden Perkins, Drew Plantz, Ethan Kerns, Phillip Thacker and 6' 4" transfer Carson Frecka
The Peake will be in mix for one of the top teams in our Div. and region.

Peebles 71- West Union 29. Peebles rotated 10 players, Running clock mid 3rd quarter. Whole bench played. Freshman Johnson and three Sophomores with alot of minutes. Indians first game of the year. Senior Reed with I think double double. Next game tomorrow vs Western Latham at Western.

... the preseason picks are taking a beating LOL - doesn't mean they will drop off the rankings into oblivion - just some minor adjustments, the teams ARE in the right "sections" I just have to look closer at the tickets to make sure they get in the right "seats" based on what I've seen ... going to make the 1st Elite 8 rankings very interesting ... I may have to move further Below the Lancaster-Dixon Line after I post them tomorrow ... AND there is still tonights' games!!! Warren vs Chillicothe , ZT @ Waverly, Fairland @ North Adams, Peebles @ Western ... I'm gong to have to get out the Ouija Board and the Magic 8 Ball to do the rankings ...
