Don't want to adjust the dates to late on account of basketball season. Its already gonna cut into the season a little bit.

I agree with the dates.. We need to close this out by November 8th... You know ,, if it takes, taking the top 2 runner ups outo fhte TSYFL then we wold still be down to the 6 teams, TEXAS FLIP style final round.. I think we all agreed on this and if it should come down to this then i say lets go for it..
The draw back is the TSYFL can say that their best teams were not there and then they are not represented by their best... Which I can see the arguement too.. But we can not push back the date any further without interferring with basket ball.... I definitely agree......

So my thought is this is.
6 teams. 3 first round games- Texas flip for odd man out for the BYE to the championship and then let the last 2 play round 2 to see who makes it...
November 1st. Saturday- Rock Hill, 3 first round games................ 12, 1;30, and 3PM
November 4th- Coal Grove, one game...semi round......................6:00pm
November 8th -Coal Grove-Championship !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!................12 Noon

I agree with not pushing the date back. As much as I would love to see a TSYFL champ compete in that I still think a couple of our other top teams could compete. I am talking to some people about being there but as I said I can't seem to find a lot of interest on the wv side. I have to admit I hope my team will be busy that weekend of River Bowl but I still think it is a fantastic idea. Sorry I couldn't have been more help guys but good luck and I can tell you if my team doesnt make it to the turf I'd love to be in the river bowl. Good luck to what sounds like a bunch of dedicated guys and this is great for youth football in this area.

Guys I will see all the poobahs for tsyfl Sun if you all still want a TSYFL team or 2 in it I will see if I can drum up interest then. As I said before if my team is available I would love to represent but I hope to be busy. South Point and Chesapeake would probably play if they wouldn't happen to be in the turf bowl also. Anyway good luck everyone

Don't let it drop mission. This is great for youth football in this area and don't let growing pains slow you down. Maybe this could be a first step in getting a true Tri State Youth football association going with the different regions competing against each other then playing a championship at the end

I would love to be a part of it mission but that is our semifinals as a matter of fact we're hosting them. Like I said this is a great thing but when I approached the commisioner of tsyfl about it he showed virtually no interest. In his defense he is worried he would lose revenue and since Marshall charges us a boatload of money to use the stadium for our turf bowl he doesn't want to take any chances

If this goes,,,,, i say re-weigh at the day of the game. It will not take long, you are only weighing your backs and ends so you prolly only have 8 kids to worry about.. I think you would have to weigh in at the game to keep it fair. TSYFL will have kids that have to meet weight, Kentucky teams NEVER weighed in and then you have OVC teams that may want to run other backs as they have progressed thru the year..

I think to keep it fair for all teams, the players must weigh in on the day of the game.

I think we need one last meeting this Sunday at 4:00 at BW3's with all of the coaches involved to make sure we have commitments to fill all of the spots and to go ahead and draw to see what time you will play on the 1st since it is only 2 weeks away. What does everyone think ?
