Loganfootball.com was down for a few days - forgot to pay my bill for the hosting but just renewed it for another 2 years. Hoping to get a copy of the roster today and will get LF.com ready for 2011.

Who are the 2011 Logan Chieftains Captains??

Just back from the scrimmage,,I left after the varsity down and distance,,Logan had 3 scores to 0 for Circleville,Logan scored on the first 10 play series with a short run up the middle set up by a nice long fade route only the reciever could catch,then on the second series they scored on a long deep post route, Logan bogged down on the first down and distance with some QB sacks but on the second series they scored on a long option pitch play,,,not sure how strong Circleville is this year but Logan controlled both sides of the LOS getting lots of penetration but they had lots of penalties it seemed and the DBS got burned a couple times,Looks like an improvement from last year. but still lots of work to do before heading to Galetown...

JVs finished 0/0 with Logan ending the game at the 3

Had Logan with 271 total yards to 49 for Circleville--varsity

Jvs Circleville with a net of 83--Logan with 66

Circleville was 2 for 7 passing for 29 yards and 20 yards rushing--V

Logan was 6 for 13 with 105 yards---166 yards rushing--V

What did the offense look like? Spread? I-formation? Mix?

Looks like a good balance from your stat sheet noreply.

How about defensively? That is the one area that Logan needs to see big improvement. No doubt injuries took their toll on that side of the ball last year, but the numbers were atrocious.

Looked to me like some kind of hybrid spread Locos,,QB was shotgunned while 2 running backs where lined up kind of in an I formation around him,,, only 2 wideouts most of the time,he must be planning on using the tightend more this year which I like...The defensive line and linebackers were getting lot of penetration and tackling was solid,the DBs were the only weak spot I seen, but they were not that bad just can't let the recievers get behind them like I saw at least twice plus they had a couple interference calls against them, luckily their QB was not that accurate or it would have been trouble..
