Valley did scrimmage ND tonight. Was really impressed with ND size and numbers... looked like about 25-30 guys out this year and had real good size on the line.

Valley really controlled the scrimmage from start to finish. 20-0 at the half was the final. Valley lost #5 on the first offensive play of the game and he didnt return. He is starting safety and play making WR so his loss for any time would be critical to both the offense and defense. Valley's offense was hitting well tonight and #38 Basham (sp?) really stood out with his vision, speed and power... he reminded me a lot of Keller running the ball. Valley's offensive line did a decent job blocking but was not dominant. Rolfe throwing the ball was on target all night and the receivers caught about everything thrown to them. The defense was solid, but I am still worried about the defensive line.

Yeah we left at the half but came away really impressed. The injuries are starting to worry me. Spradlin told our kid today that he will be out a long time with his knee. They wrapped browns shoulder tonight but he stayed on the sideline so I don't think it was serious. The linebackers played excellent tonight they have so much speed. It's kinda funny they are bigger than the dline. The starting dline are fast but have no size and are having a hard time tackling. Seems a guy always gets pressure but can't take the guy down. The running backs look great they don't have great size but they run hard.
