I agree. I don't know why they are complaining. It's one of the nicest stadiums I've watched a game at. The valley fans need to suck it up and quit complaining. We have to go to columbus for our game
Suck it up? Like you did after week 9? You haven't shown your face around here in a few weeks. Just go back to posting cal preps projections and telling everyone how the gold ball is "come back where it belongs".

This will be the last thing I have to say on the venue choice....the people and the atmosphere were great at NY last season. It just didn't have the space. The one lane road into and out we're not fun and anyone the wasn't inside when the gates opened were out of luck. Maybe everything will be different with it being a semi game and on a Friday. I hope it does.

As for the game, these two teams are very similar. They have similar size. They both have more than enough playoff experience. It is going to be a great one.

Good grief...what's the big deal about voicing an opinion on a particular stadium.....Lots of folks in this thread have reading comp. issues.....Stop getting your panties in a wad when folks provide a little constructive criticism on your lil stadium seating, parking, etc......I would rather stand and watch the game...Some prefer sitting...Both retain the right to voice their choice!!

Just a little bit of travel information for those attending.
The Nelsonville bypass is for the most part complete. You will be looking for the exit onto St. Rt. 78, and then following signs to Buchtel, as the stadium is just outside of Buchtel on St. Rt. 78. The road has completely changed and nothing will look the same.

Have a safe trip, and see you at the game!!!

I hope both teams play with class and the coaches come together after the game, as do the players shake hands and leave with kind words.

I keep hearing that was not a onside kick but was a bad squib kick by the back up kicker he just didn't connect right

Was You at this game or did you watch it on TV??? It was an onside kick. Whether the coach called it or the kid did it himself I do not know.

Maybe you weren't "gonna do this", but you were obviously already thinking it or you wouldn't have been so quick to jump at the opportunity. I couldn't care any less who has done what to me or who has posted what, I'll continue to root for schools from this area throughout the post-season every year. I hope you feel very vindicated in rooting against Valley. It is what it is.

You can think what you want jesco but I was rooting for valley. I wasn't thinkin it at all but after them above comments I'm not pullin for them. I've got them on here, text messages and on facebook since valley beat burg. We had our chances to win the game. We missed two fg's which would have put us up three points with just a couple min left. After the game I commented and said congrats on the win even sent text messages and messages on FB. That's when they started so I stand by my post. GO GREEN WAVE!!

Wow! I just watched the NC videos on youtube from last years State playoff run. I must say they are impressive. Very nice QB (committed to Illinois) and it looked like #2 and #23 were the guys he liked to go to the most. I noticed looking at pictures from the last game against Bellaire that #23 was in street clothes...not sure if he's out this game or not? Valley seems to match up pretty well based on what I know and it looks like NC wasn't too great Defensively in the videos, but last week they shutout what I thought was suppose to be a good Bellaire offense..? So who knows?? I think that Valley's staff is one of the best in the area and should have this team ready to go. Should be a great one! If Valley can beat this NC team that was a State Runner up last year, I'd say they'll like there chances going forward. Good Luck Indians!!

Pure class!!!!!!!
I really don't think your pick will change the outcome of the game. And I'm sure Valley isn't broken heard and ready to give up just because a guy on here is retaliating against a few valley posters :122246

Wow 4 pages of I don't like where I sit and once we do get some football it's you have no class. This game is already over. Team that plays football and not musical chairs wins. Newark Catholic.

I picked Valley in the contest and have said before the season started that they were the dark horse in this region, because I had not heard many talking about them and I thought they would be a solid team this season.

Newark catholic could win this game I.M.O. if they load the box and go man up on the rec and use a tight converge on them, like they did the Granville and Bellaire game. I also think #5 will have to be a huge part of the game plan.

#7 has to come out of his slump throwing the ball also. 5-16 game or what ever it was last week will not cut it this week.

And for the record I agreed with the onside kick.Bellaire had return three kickoff for long gains
They had over 8 minutes left in the game, with a offense that had averaged over thirty a game, and they had twice been inside the Newark Catholic ten yard line.

This will be an outstanding game. Both these teams look very similar and like to run the ball. This game will be a coaching challenge and whoever makes the right adjustments in the game will win. This looks like it will be a defensive game.

Looks like a struck a nerve with ole Mad_dogg! HAHA!

Just for everyone not familiar with old doggy....He spent the off season on here and other sites talking about how Valley cheated the Burg out of a game last season and how the officials handed Valley the game. He talked about how the SOC title was coming "back where it belonged". I called him on it and he never responded, just predicted a two touchdown win for the Burg and then disappeared. Myself or any Valley poster don't need anything from ole doggy boy, but don't come on and tell Valley fans to "suck it up". You haven't been around until now.

Now that we have that covered....

This is a great match up. Watching the NC-Bellaire game, I think the Green Wave and the Indians are so similar. The NC quarterback is a load. For Valley fans unfamiliar with the kid, imagine Will Howard with a better arm. For as talented as that young man is, the NC passing game struggles at times. That is kind of confusing to me. On the other hand, the kid scored the first NC TD the other night on about a 3 yard quarterback sneak. That is tough to do against a playoff team. The NC tailback is not real big, but he is very quick.

On the other side, I don't know if NC will play as much press coverage this week. I think they are going to want their secondary more in run support than the were this past week against Bellaire. Bellaire was able to move the ball but never finished drives. This game is going to be a battle of wills. I can't wait.
