SOMEBODY FORGOT TO TELL,
OHIO STATE,
PENN STATE
IOWA
WISCONSIN,
THAT THEY COULD NOT PLAY WITH THESE BIG, BAD SPEED TEAMS. AND I LOVE IT.

Seems like FSUfly is much like the people Jay Leno has on his show when he does JayWalking. Those people think their answers are right also.
Fly you keep bringing up Purdue like they are terrible. Some schools no matter what their record is always plays some schools tough.
Was it the tutor at FSU that complained that she had over 60 players were assigned to her. With some who could hardly read. That is something to be proud of right there.

Everyone always wants to bring up Criminals and the Academic probation as if NO other school has done nothing wrong. So what, it has nothing to do with playing football and I strongly believe that Bowden usually kept these guys on the team depending on how bad the circumstances were, because if he were to let these athletes go, they would wind up out of school, on the streets, and without an opportunity at getting an education. But EVERYONE forgets about Penn States scandal, and Troy Smith taking money from boosters as well as Clarett, but let's forget about Ohio State because they are perfect. You're right Dublin, I make ignorant posts, because everyone is assuming that I am making a statement that FSU is this great school and could beat Ohio State any day of the week, which is not the case..I just believe that Ohio State certainly would not go 11-2 year after stinkin year in the ACC...maybe every 3-5 years they might make it to 11-2 but they would not be playing for a conference championship every year like they do in the Big Ten, although playing would not be the correct definition, more like handing an undeserving trophy over because there is no conference championship, which is not Ohio States fault don't get me wrong.

Honestly, who do you think would beat them every year? It's not secret that the ACC is the 2nd worst BCS conference out there behind the Big East. Miami USED to be good. Florida State USED to be good. There are no teams in the ACC that are as good as OSU, Michigan(they will be back in the next year or two), Wisconsin, Iowa & Penn State year in & year out. I'm sorry, but your "homerism" is showing, big time. Maybe it's time to cover it up a little?

If Ohio State goes 11-2 in the Big Ten, then how would they not go 11-2 in the ACC with lesser competition?

Also, you site the FSU academic problems with the following sentence:
Read that again, reminding yourself that your talking academic standards with this statement.
I find it fitting that you show your academic might, by using poor grammar in your argument.
Maybe you should apply for F$U.

Well, we don't see Jim Tressel, Pete Carroll, Urban Meyer, Bob Stoops, Mack Brown, Les Miles, or Nick Saban, et al having 14 coaching wins vacated from their overall win loss record either, now do we fly?

Actually Dublin, when it comes to posting on a thread that means absolutely nothing and does not require someone to grade my mistakes, I could care less. I try to keep it understandable and not some Dbag like you to try to make yourself look like an SEOP God and try to look funny in front of all your extreme biased Buckeye fans. No matter WHAT I say, hardly anyone can interpret anything correctly. I have said before, the top 2-3 teams in the Big Ten may very well be better than the top 2-3 teams in the ACC THIS year, BUT ACC is much more competitive depth wise than the Big Ten..FSU may not be a powerhouse, but I bet they can beat Purdue..and I bet Ohio State would rather play Indiana than Florida State. Miami USED to be good? If I may recall, they were 9-4 which is pretty dang good considering that they have not contended for a national championship since 2002, which means that their recruits could have easily chosen Florida, USC, Texas, Alabama..so they must be pretty competitive.
Say what you want about FSU and their cheating scandal, every school has their issues, and this was not Bowdens fault. That information about people on the team could not read was ignorant, it came from a former FSU player who got KICKED OFF of the team for personal problems and I won't believe any of that crap that an 18-19 year old kid cannot read going into college until it is PROVEN. Ohio State had a deserving season, they won the games that they had to, but you simply cannot say that they would not compete more in the ACC than the Big Ten..I mean, Death Valley and Doak are a lot more intimidating than Indiana, Northwestern, Purdue, Minnesota..loud stadiums does not mean you are going to play a tougher game, although that is mostly the case in many college football games that have a great environment. The ACC has much more depth than the Big Ten and they may not have two top BCS contenders, but they have 8-9 more schools that would compete more than what most of those below average Big Ten schools would. It is common sense people, when you can predict the top 2-3 teams that are going to win the Big Ten..things must not be very competitive. All the good teams in the ACC next yr that are coming back...Virginia Tech, Miami, FSU, Georgia Tech, Clemson..2 potential heisman candidates in Ponder (FSU) and Harris (UM) so we will see how things play out next year.

I've been to a Tech game, a clemson game, and a V.T. came. V.T is the only place that comes close to being really really loud!

I think I got it all out!!
Ohio State, Penn State, and Even Wisc. would rule the ACC every year. The ACC is a basketball conference. Stick to that!

I don't even need to argue at this point, fly makes my points every time he posts.
All you have to do is be able to read his entire posts, and you can see that he is either just plain silly,
or blinded by so much Buckeye envy that he can't make a solid statement.

Also, if you're giving me the Purdue that played against the Buckeyes and Oregon and Notre Dame...
...I'd take them over FSU this year!

Well FSUFLY you said this.
Say what you want about FSU and their cheating scandal, every school has their issues, and this was not Bowdens fault. So in response to that.
Well that didn't come from just a former player it came from a former employee that is listed below.
Brenda Monk, a learning specialist hired to work with athletes who had learning and physical disabilities, was accused of improperly helping students type, edit and write their papers. Monk, who testified that some of those athletes had a second-grade reading level, was accused of committing academic fraud. In one case, she was said to have let students use a study guide that had answers to exam questions for an online music course.
Monk has left the university and filed a defamation suit against Florida State.

Well FSUFLY you can say what you want about Oregon but many people on TV are saying they have the talent to be rated in the top 5 next year. Then again you would say they are over rated.

It doesn't suprise me that FSU had players that couldn't read.
Archie Griffin couldn't read and could barely spell his own name when he was at OSU.

FSUfly#13 wrote:1. Oregon is certainly overrated. Mind you they are competitive and not an easy opponent, but their defense is awful. Their offense only looked good all year because the Pac 10 does not know the meaning of Defense.
2. Ohio State recovering unforced fumbles by Oregon, is not OUTSTANDING defense.
3. With losses to mediocre USC and below average Purdue is not the caliber of a top 10 team. Sorry.
4. Pryor is Back!?!? He had the game of his life and had a game high 23 completions, and completed like 56% of his passes for the season. Nor will he ever win the heisman because he will never attempt around 450-500 passes in a single season, nor will he complete about 70% of his passes.
Finally, I was impressed with Ohio State's win, give them credit with the young defense and offense that they have. Although, this win does not mean they are back, nor does it mean they are automatically contending for a championship this upcoming season.
My predictions for 2010, if Big Ten does not add a 12th school, The Big Ten will consist of Ohio State, Penn State, and Wisconsin contending for a Big Ten Championship..Co-Champions, with 2 Big Ten schools reaching the BCS again..which is ridiculous. Big Ten is boring and predictable. Until Michigan gets their program together, the Big Ten will continue to be around Mediocre. Want to complain about Cincy, TCU, Boise? They are undefeated and may play in a lesser conference, but I guarantee you they play tougher teams than Purdue, and remained unbeaten.
The ACC is boring and over-rated. Iowa thumped GT and Wisconsin thumped the U. Fla state would have been in the GMAC bowl if it wasn't for Bowden retiring.
